Has anyone seen this? I am sure it is old news, but the take on Sufi Islam was intriguing: shoebat.com/2015/03/31/shocking-and-amazing-erdogan-has-now-declared-himself-to-be-god/backstory: I was reading the shoutbox comments below and saw EnochWalked's post about Erdogan; when I did a general search of news on yahoo, I found the link above. moderators, please relocate as needed. I am not sure where a good place to put this is. Thanks.

Fascinating article, yardstick! Thank you for sharing it! Erdogan is certainly someone to keep an eye on as we study Bible prophecy.

I think the focus I was going for was to zero in on the concept of defining onesself as God, which is substanitally different in Sufi Islam than in Christianity. I suspect there is the effect of 'emptying onesself out' to subsequently be 'possessed' - the mechanism is the Sufi methodology. Since, afaik, the Islam 'god' is Lucifer (by way of the moon goddess)... This would be decent hypothesis for how Lucifer possesses the AC...

Yikes, there's our lions, leopards, and bears (oh my!) mentioned in one sentence again in this article! "Now, more than 1,500 years after the last fights between lions, leopards and bears, one of the ingenious wooden machines that carried the beasts to certain death has been reconstructed in the middle of the ancient Roman arena."

"...In the end we chose a wolf because it is the symbol of Rome..." Interesting that the wolf is not depicted in the Revelation prophecies or Daniel prophecies?

The wolf is a symbol of the Tribe of Benjamin, though. Wolves are mentioned many times in the Bible, but not in those two passages, nor in the Hosea 12 passage, which I also see as a key lion/leopard/bear passage.
However there is a lion and leopard and wolf passage in Jeremiah.
Jer_5:6 Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased.
But thinking of Rome as a wolf begs a lot of questions--- Rome the city, Rome the empire, or Rome the Catholic Church? If the latter is included, it could be a chilling and very fitting addition to our understanding of New Testament symbolism (and perhaps, OT also).

I've been hoping that someone might comment on the Sufi Islam philosophy juxtaposed with the passage where the AC stands in the temple showing himself that he is God. It seems there is a serious play on words in that passage, considering the Sufi philosophy.
Any takers?

It was all new to me when I read the article, Yardstick. Did you see the video? The one that was reasonably newer looking. They explain some of the philosophy there.

Haven't had time, sorry--events are overtaking me on the home front, with work, family issues, and doctor's appointments. I haven't watched half the videos presented by friends and forum members in the past week or two--they're slipping through my fingers, unfortunately.
