With the amazing things we've been discovering about the Great American Eclipse of 21 August and the 40-day period of Teshuvah, during which will be the Feast of Trumpets and the Revelation 12 Sign, I've been thinking constantly about the possible meaning of what is occurring in these two short months before us.
We've considered how the eclipse may be a warning from the Lord before judgment falls upon America. We've considered that the Lord may be calling the Jewish people to come out of Egypt and back to Israel. We've considered the Teshuvah season of repentance before Yom Kippur. And we've considered America is an image of the Gentile nations.
With all of that in mind, I am very deeply feeling and thinking that what we are seeing may be the Lord's "last call" to the world before the Day of the Lord begins. America is the place where the headquarters of the United Nations sits, and we've long been considered a "melting pot" of cultures. Is the Lord, through this eclipse, telling the whole world, "Come to Me now! Call on Me now! The Age of Grace is coming to a close!" Is a possible judgment of America only a part of the message of this eclipse? Is there a broader, even more dire warning to the event?

Is a possible judgment of America only a part of the message of this eclipse? Is there a broader, even more dire warning to the event? I was thinking about this the other day. I had the opportunity to cater funeral lunches presented to me this spring. Since taking on the job, I have had at least one a month that I have catered (I am not the only caterer). What I have noticed, is that God has used these opportunities to present his message. The majority of people in my community have probably attended at least one funeral this year. Whether young or old or middle age, teacher or community leader, there has been someone pass on in numerous categories. Lately people have been open to having church funerals even when they really don't attend church. We have seen a trend away from this in the last number of years. It is sad that they are hearing the message of repentance and salvation, possibly at the funeral of a loved one who hadn't made time for repentance and salvation. But I am glad that they are at least hearing the message. 1 Timothy 4:12 Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. I am taking this scripture to heart as a non-religious family friend passed away this past week. I am heavily involved in this funeral because I am not only catering, but am also creating the PowerPoint slideshow of his life. I am praying this morning for strength, energy, compassion and love because it is easy to be pulled in many directions and get stressed because I have so many responsibilities that are competing for attention this week. I know my comment isn't exactly along the lines of the eclipse or the sign, but I do find it interesting and awesome that God has created the opportunities for people to hear his message, whether it be through evangelism, a funeral, a news article (Canadian Korean pastor was released from North Korean prison last week), or though someone sharing about the signs. Please pray for those who are attending funerals that they may hear the knock and open the door before it is too late.

Is this the “Last Call” – I do not know, it has the potential of being so.
I do know, back in July 4th week I mentioned the eclipse to some family members – many were completely unaware that a full eclipse was taken place, nor were they aware that it was bisecting the USA from west to east.
Unfortunately, in this day and age – many see these as common phenomena easily explained by the rotation of the earth, sun and planets. They do not see it as God’s handiwork – but simply something that occurs from time to time.
Even when I mentioned the Revelation 12 sign -- it was almost like they were yawning in my face – oh well, isn’t that kind of interesting. Finally got a cousin to study the Micah 5:3 prophecy and got enough interest (or seem to) to get him to say he would check it out. However, a week ago, on one of his FB post – I made a comment about the Micah 5:3 prophecy again – and never got a reply back.
As near as I can tell; most people simply take these “signs” as being interesting enough to maybe browse it a bit. BUT nothing to get excited about. Their general take seems to be, things will continue on – just like they always have for year after year.
I cannot myself claim – yes such and such will happen on (or by) a certain date – but part of me cannot but help wonder – what do all these events – mean.
Is Jesus returning within the next month?
Part of me wants to do a "Happy Dance" -- saying -- yes, oh please yes!
BUT -- based on the general public perception -- many feel this is just another one of those "Repent - the End of the World is coming" events -- that will pan out to be nothing!

Whatif, I think you're probably right. My mind and the Scriptures seem to be telling me "this is it". My flesh is telling me "no, no, no. I'm thinking to much into things. Jesus won't come back for a long time."

Jesus won't come back for a long time." Just when I thought I was the only one. Things seem too "normal"...At least where I am, perhaps where many of us are. I realize we in the US dont have the violence that other places have, like the middle east. I mean for the most part its business as usual around here, with the occasional horrible thing like Charlottesville happening. But does that really affect me personally? No. So its just back to the grind everyday. Gotta go to work and do my job, gotta clean, food shop, do laundry, gotta do this or that. Then I remind myself whats about to happen...the struggle within

Just wanted Sawdy to know your post prompted me to pray that the seeds you are sowing get watered by the Holy Spirit, God bless you. Thank you Gary777. It has been an exhausting week which also happens to be the week I am being baptized on Sunday afternoon. At some point today, I need to figure out what I am saying as I have been asked to give my testimony Sunday morning during the service and I also still have to do my church work for the week (bulletin, easy worship). Prayers are great. Thank you!

Unsealed: thanks to Gary and all of you moderators, you put your thought's out as conjecture. You may share leaning's and hunches but are always open to other possibilities. God bless and may He, unseal for you Truth always. Truth is not as one makes it, or as one see's it. It is just so. It is undeniable, irrefutable, factually exact. It is real, perfectly sound and loved by those who seek it. The wisdom of this site is conjecture, which ultimately finds complete truth! God bless!
