If you need to cut butter into anything like pie dough or biscuits put butter stick(s) in the freezer the night before you are going to use it then just grate the frozen butter into the flour and toss, no more cutting butter in.

I don't need to very often, but that sounds like a good tip to remember.

Sometimes it is really hard to find something that all three of my kids will eat. We have discovered a way to cook chicken breasts and pork chops that makes everyone happy. You mix up 1/4 to 1/3 cup olive oil and a packet of dry ranch dressing mix (can possibly use just half a packet - depends on how much meat you are cooking). Or tonight I just threw in some dried onions and a little season salt because I didn't have the ranch. I then drizzle some in the bottom of my crockpot and smear it around. As I place the meat in, I then pour some and kind of rub it around on the meat. Then each piece gets a little slice of butter on top. Cook on low 6 hours or until done. The fats in the oil and butter make the meat really tender. I suppose you could also marinate the meat in it for a bit and then put it in the crockpot. I don't always think that far ahead.

Now that sounds delicious. Being home a lot more because of CV has made me experiment a lot more with cooking. I'm grilling multiple times a week these days, ha.
