IntroductionIf you have been following any of my other threads, you may have begun to see a pattern in what my calling is. I am not a prophecy expert. I have no great gift for understanding "end times." I am not pinpointing day counts or looking for clues in the stars as to when we might depart this earth. I do not find fault in those that are doing these things. But that is not my calling. I have a very specific purpose that was given to me in 2004 on The Day of Atonement and was taught to me over the next 40 days, concluding on my 40th birthday. That purpose is to call out a remnant. I have mentioned this story in the Hearing God thread, but here it is again so you don't need to "look it up." On the Day of Atonement 2004, God gave me a significant message that He wanted me to write and send to the churches. The point was to talk about coming into the Rest of God. I was to distribute it to the church of America and I selected 4000 initial churches to receive this message. The message consisted of about 14 pages dealing with similar topics as the Hearing God thread but with more specifics in certain areas. God also told me that during the 40 days from Atonement to my 40th birthday He was going to demonstrate to me a portion of His rest. He also mentioned that though I would send the message to the churches - not one would repent and/or respond. During the next 40 days, I saw victories in areas of my life that I had often cried out to the Lord as being too difficult to overcome. I walked in a righteousness and peace in ways that are difficult to explain and are hard for others to understand or believe. Unfortunately, after the 40 days, much of my old self returned. But my understanding of that time has been sealed in my spirit. For the record - after sending out 4000 letters, not one church responded to my note. Here is the document: This is My House - Last Call to the Church.pdf (211.75 KB)
Why now?Why am I telling you these things here and now? Because the 9/23 sign was personal for me. The birthing of Emmanuel IS the coming out of the remnant. And so, I now know the time is short to make a stand. So I began to involve myself in this forum as led by the Lord and supported by several members and staff of this forum. Likely, you saw my article on Zion and Emmanuel. And you may have read portions of the primary threads I have contributed toward, Hearing God and The Restoration of All Things. If not, I encourage you to read through them as they will definitely give you a picture of who I am. I promise, you will be at least a little offended with all four of the links that I have provided in this post thus far. But now I will introduce concepts that will offend even more. The current events, the sign, my spirit pressing me inside, support of several members of the forum, and the message to which I have been called mandate that I start this thread. I am but a man, and I have idols in my heart. I will present what I believe I have heard and understood and I will present what I think. I will make it clear when I am telling you something that is from the Lord. Otherwise, you can assume it is my best understanding. What will we talk about?I will tell you a story of a kingdom: its origin, its battles, its king, its enemies, its citizens, its future, and much more. I will tell you of our destiny in that kingdom - that is, to be kings and priests and sons to the Most High God. I will tell you of the current situation within that kingdom and how those that are most expected to be winning this battle are actually betraying the very king to which they claim to pledge allegiance. I will offend many of you. And many, like the 4000 churches, will argue or simply ignore this message. And that is fine - we must all walk in the faith and calling that the Father gives us. However, I do believe that many will listen. Many will hear. And many will become part of a growing number of a called out remnant. And it is fitting that this should happen now, as the time is short. Today, there is a great betrayal taking place. It is not intentional by most, but is led by groups that are aware of what they are doing. This same pattern has repeated several times in history, and after this time, it will happen once more. The point behind this thread will be to provide the history and scripture that may allow you to understand, in a brand new way, what is taking place in the kingdom today. This will help you to decide your course of action. It will also prepare you to come alongside others and give them understanding. A time of great shaking is soon to be upon us and when it is, shepherds will be needed to shepherd the flock that has scattered. We'll start soon! Like most things I share - there is a foundation I must lay before we can get to the point.

God led me to start a Men's bible study on prophecy and the end times. God led me to these forums. God has used me to touch others for His glory. I am ready to depart from my "self" and move into the will of our Father, whatever it may be. These threads have blessed me greatly. The "Restoration of All Things Thread" has allowed me to bring peace and light on many conversations recently in my Men's bible study.
I hope and pray they will humble their hearts and search the scriptures listening for that small voice of truth. I pray that the Lord guides us as we begin to discuss the events occurring today that it brings light and understanding so that all the glory be given to our Savior and King. I pray that those who read this thread will do so with a humble heart and a quiet mind seeking the Spirit's response. Amen!

The Creation of the Kingdom
Most kingdom stories start with the phrase, Once upon a time, but this is no fairy tale and so we will begin this way instead,
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
In so doing, God created the kingdom. God owned it all. It was His. It is His. He had the power and the knowledge to keep it. And keep it He did, and He is, and He shall - forever. God created the good things and He created evil.
Gen 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Isa 45:5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: Isa 45:6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else. Isa 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Lest someone try to convince you that the word evil is actually the word calamity. No. It simply isn't. The word is ra and is translated evil correctly hundreds of times. Including the name of the famous Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
The creation God made, the kingdom He began - was very good. The kingdom was not evil. But evil existed. We are not told all the motivation of God in creating the kingdom. But we know that the final goal is to have all be in God. God is spirit. His creation is physical. Our whole lives we have desired to get to heaven. But just the opposite is the plan. God’s desire is to bring heaven to us. And so a mandate was created. A mandate for the one who had authority over the kingdom to bring about the perfection of the kingdom and bring heaven to earth. To subdue the earth in submission to the ultimate king.
The right of ownership means that God can appoint tenants and limited authority to any people or people groups according to His wishes, and so, over time He has. The first man who would be king was Adam, whose name means, earthy, or man. And after creating him, God appointed Adam, King of all the earth. And because of this, Adam was the first to have the kingship mandate placed upon him. But there is a second mandate as well.
Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
1. Kingship - subdue it: and have dominion 2. Sonship - Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth
Later we will see that a third mandate is added - 3. Priesthood.
Why are these mandates important? Because they carry with them, the weight of performing the task to “bring in the kingdom.” That is - to finish the work of bringing heaven to earth.
Though, the kingdom was good, sin stole its way in, and with sin came death. It is not told to us exactly how or when sin entered the kingdom. Many have speculated and many fanciful theories of fallen angels have been told. But many of these stories are myths. Scripture is much more vague on this topic than we have been led to believe. But we are told when it was introduced to mankind.
Though Adam was king, He was still subject to the king of kings. And the king of kings instructed Adam not to eat of a certain fruit. When Adam ate of that fruit, it was the first (if we don’t include Eve) time a man had heard God’s word and said, “No.” It was the first act outside of Faith. It was the first sin. This sin would set in motion the ultimate plan of God - which was to bring all that would walk upon the face of the earth into peace with God.
Act 3:21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
As the story unfolds we will find that God gave mankind the problem of bringing in the kingdom. God knew that man would fail. Man is still failing today. God needs man to understand that man can’t succeed. But man always believes he has more power and authority than he does. Man thinks man can bring in the kingdom while at the same time, man thinks that man can stop God from bringing in the kingdom. How arrogant is man. It is part of the main sin within Man - pride. God is the only one who can bring in the kingdom and so He provided a second method - for when man failed. A second Adam - Jesus. And Jesus will not fail - despite the overwhelming teaching of Christianity today - He will bring in the kingdom - every lost lamb.
But, we are getting ahead of ourselves. Going back to our sinful king, Adam. When he sinned. He became mortal having lost the image of God. He was cast out of the garden and began to have children - who were also mortal, and in the mortality they inherited the debt of Adam’s sin, but also, they inherited the sinful nature itself - due to their mortality.
Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Mat 18:25 But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
When Adam failed in subduing the earth - that is, when he failed to bring all into submission to God, it meant eventually he would lose his reign. Eventually he died and his “throne” was passed down to his children and so on and so on one generation at a time. Each generation failing to deliver on the kingship mandate. More sin crept in and the kingdom began to disappear into a mystery. The physical world so prevalent that most could not even perceive of the kingdom surrounding us. The kingdom is not somewhere else. It is not up, or down. It is within us - amongst us - surrounding us. Still alive and vibrant. Still waiting to be revealed.
Following the genealogy we find that eventually the sonship and kingship mandates fell on Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham. Isaac inherited it directly from Shem, who was still alive when Isaac was born. But then we have that famous story where the birthright, which should have been Esau’s being sold to Jacob for a bowl of soup.
This is where we will take up the story in the next section. If all this seems irrelevant - I promise it is very vital to exactly what is happening today. Even that bowl of soup.

It is within us - amongst us - surrounding us. Still alive and vibrant. Still waiting to be revealed. This is actually being proven through physics. Although secular scientists will not admit or see it as a creation of God nor are they looking at it this way, they have proven the we and everything around us is literally an image or projection within different dimensions. I forget the name of it, but reality consists of eight dimensional "pixels" stacked on top of one another. The more we understand and learn about the different dimensions around us the more we understand that we are basically projected pixels or of an image. Projected from a conscious source (they describe God so well sometimes and refuse to believe). When this discovery was made and basically proven, there were a few scientists and physicists who committed suicide because it blew everything else they thought and knew away. yardstick has a mucher deeper and better understanding of this theory than I, and went into great detail about it in his math class thread. We have been blinded from seeing so much. Elijah was allowed to see some and saw the burning chariots surrounding them that no one else could see.

cwood- your post reminds me of the stories I have heard about the wars in Israel's most recent history. Things like seeing a giant hand and a line of angels.

The schism
We were about to talk about soup. But let’s step back a bit to call attention to a few details.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Ok, that’s stepping back quite a aways. We won’t linger - but I wanted to call attention to: heaven - and - earth. Keep that in mind, because that is the first verse of our bible and it sets the stage for the rest of God’s plan.
That is where we started -
Rev 22:1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. Rev 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. Rev 22:3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: Rev 22:4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. Rev 22:5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
That is where we are going -
And this is how we will get there:
Rev 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
When Adam sinned, and became mortal, a transition from spiritual to physical took place. A transition from heaven to earth. His children, were born of earth and had citizenry in Adam's earthly kingdom - still his right to reign and still passed on down to his sons. But the Sonship mandate to populate the Kingdom of Heaven with sons of the kingdom was not being fulfilled anymore than the Kingship mandate of bringing the earth into submission to the Heavenly kingdom.
Before this sin, Adam and Eve were naked. But they were not aware of their nakedness. Some have speculated that once they sinned, they became aware of what was good and what was evil and that they determined that being naked was evil and so they made clothes for themselves. But I believe things are deeper than that. Before their sin, they were spiritually minded. They walked by spirit, not by flesh. They were not aware / concerned with their fleshly nakedness because they simply weren’t mindful of it. They were in a spiritual kingdom.
Gen 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
Their eyes were opened to the physical realm in new way. But think of it - is it wrong to be naked with our spouse? So, truly what was the harm even after having their eyes opened? Adam confesses to God his true feelings:
Gen 3:10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
His nakedness - more accurately, his awareness of his nakedness - made him afraid. And when he heard the voice of the Lord, he set up a pattern of behavior that has lasted to this day - he hid. By now, those that have been following Hearing God and Restoration may be sick of me bringing up the word of God, hearing God, etc. But I cannot stop - it is so central to all we are talking about and needing to walk in.
And even now, in other threads within this forum, we can see the conflict and commotion caused in relation to hearing God - it is a gift we need to learn.
But Adam set up another pattern. In our effort to cover ourselves - we reach for the fig tree. And Adam set up one more pattern. In our effort to excuse ourselves - we blame others - someone else is always the beast.
Gen 3:12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. Gen 3:13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
Clearly, Adam, Eve, and the serpent were all present. God asks Adam, Why? Adam points at Eve. God looks at Eve and she is already pointing at the serpent. God then addresses the serpent.
God’s will: His Desire - His plan We often confuse the difference between God’s desire and His plan. His desire was that Adam not eat that fruit. But His plan, was that Adam eat that fruit. And in this new moment, I imagine that God’s desire was for Adam to fall on his face before the Lord and say, “Forgive me, Father, I have sinned and there is nothing that can save me but you. But that is not what Adam did. He tried to cover his own flesh, he blamed others, and he hid from the voice of the Father. What a pattern for us to follow - and we have - and we do.
I want to point out one more thing. In our own minds, since we first learned of God - the Father, and The Son, and The Holy Spirit, we have formed our own pictures of what that looks like and I think many of us may think of the God of the Old Testament as The Father. I encourage you to begin to disengage that idea if you have it. Jesus was walking in the Garden with Adam and Eve.
Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Col 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: Col 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
As a matter of fact, we are going to cover, in this story, the four comings of Christ (Of course, there are many comings of Christ, but we will be focusing on these primary four). The first was in the Garden. I believe the garden is near to the heart of Jesus. It is after all, like Him. A place of life. And He is the seed. And He delivers the harvest. But we will come back to this later.
So from this little foray into the past, let’s put some points in our mind to remember for later: 1. Jesus was in the Garden 2. From the first verse - we have a distinction between heaven and earth - spiritual and carnal (flesh) 3. Where once we were carnally blind and spiritual enlightened - now we are spiritual blind and carnally enlightened 4. Adam tried to cover himself with a fig leaf
Stepping forward again, in the history of the kingdom, many have tried to usurp the authority of the rightful king. The first notable attempt was from Nimrod. (We may come back to Cain.)
Gen 10:8 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. Gen 10:9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD. Gen 10:10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
The city Nimrod created, Babel, is the precursor to Babylon. But Nimrod was not only interested in the physical city. He wanted the Heavenly kingdom and so,
Gen 11:2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. Gen 11:3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. Gen 11:4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. Gen 11:6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Gen 11:9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
They attempted to build a tower to make a claim on the very Kingdom of Heaven. But, being physical, their attempt was made in the physical. They put their stock in brick and mortar. They were focused on using carnal / physical means to accomplish a spiritual / heavenly goal.
It didn’t work, but it highlights something sinister and mysterious that was just under the surface. There is an opposing kingdom. So let us give names to these kingdoms so that we can speak more clearly of them. The Kingdom of Heaven is Zion. The opposing kingdom is Babylon. And in betwixt is the physical, carnal flesh - Earth.
But as Babel represented the physical manifestation of Babylon, so a city on earth was established to represent the physical manifestation of Zion. Shem, the son of Noah, was blessed by Noah when he covered Noah’s nakedness. So Shem received the birthright - the two mandates. Shem became the new King.
Oh, where have we seen that theme? Oh, yes, Adam covered his own nakedness. But Noah, weak in the flesh, needed to rely on Shem. This is interesting because there is evidence that Shem moved to Canaan and built a city. A city that he named Salem - meaning peace. The extended name becomes City of Peace - Jerusalem. The king of this city when Abram goes there is Melchizedek. Who’s name means - King of Righteousness.
Oh the woven fabric of delicious truth we can see when we look beyond the hermeneutics! So Noah, was covered by the King of Righteousness when he was found to be naked. He could make no excuse for himself for he was too weak in the flesh to even speak.
But furthermore, when Abram showed up in Salem, here is what Melchizedek (Shem) said:
Gen 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. Gen 14:19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: Gen 14:20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
He brought forth bread and wine - communion - but also ties back to our harvests, and blessed Abram as the possessor of heaven and earth. Abram had eyes to see spiritually and therefore Melchizedek (Shem) the current king - gives Abram the blessing. Now, The Lord had yet to bless this event and so a legal proclamation was given by Melchizedek, but until Abram received his new name, Abraham, it was not yet consecrated.
But notice who else Melchizedek was - the Priest of the Most High God. And that is where our third mandate comes in. Kingship, Sonship, and Priesthood.
Some of this may seem a little stretched right now - but over time, as we continue the story, you will start to see how it all fits together.
Now, where were we? - oh, yes - soup.
Well, not quite. Next we will need to see what happens with Abram. Then we can talk about soup. Are you getting hungry yet?

A couple of years ago I did a study on the "Word of the Lord" and the term Memra. Not sure if you are familiar with that? For those that are not, it's used in the Aramaic translations of the Hebrew Scriptures. It means "Word" but not the spoken word. It's Word as in John 1:1 and Rev 19:13. Studying this showed that Jesus was the One that was in the Garden, and He is the one that is throughout the Old Testament. I've been blessed when I have been able to point these things out to my kids.

Not to derail the thread, but in reference to Cwood's post. I agree as many of the unexplained sightings by humanity (UFOs, ghost, mythical beings like sasquatch, mothman, etc.) are all corporeal beings from other dimensions, i.e. demons, angels, etc. The Kingdoms of the spiritual realm are closer than we know. Back on topic. I'm curious about your thoughts SK with you mentioning Adam being given dominion over all creation. Is it possible that dominion was handed over to Satan when Adam sinned? I always figured that the scroll with the seven seals, who the only one able to break its seals is the Lamb and that scroll is the "deed" per say to earth (creation). Satan may have taken dominion since Adam, but never had the authority to the the deed of God's creation, and God is ending Satan's dominion by revealing the contents of the scroll with the seven seals, and thus bringing heaven to earth. Just some thoughts... Great thought miketaft. I'm half onboard here. Satan is called the God of this earth in some scriptures. But I had a very particular event occur in my life last Sunday that answered a question I had been putting to the Father the night before. I won't explain all the details, but it ended with me reading this passage out loud in the middle of the woods - in the middle of nowhere in northern Wisconsin. Psa 47:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah. O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. Psa 47:2 For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth. Psa 47:3 He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet. Psa 47:4 He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah. Psa 47:5 God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet. Psa 47:6 Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. Psa 47:7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding. Psa 47:8 God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness. Psa 47:9 The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted. Please keep in mind, I was meditating on the same issue of the deed. And in the process was posing to God that Satan was possibly keeping things at bay because He currently had the authority over the earth. I did not search out this scripture. It came to me as I followed the voice of the Lord during a road trip that I needed to make. At one point, He made me turn, stop, and proclaim this scripture out loud to the lake and trees. I'm sure they were impressed. I so wanted the trees to obey verse 1. Especially, in light of: Isa 55:12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
So, with this reading, I also have the understanding that God is the absolute God and King. He gives limited authority to other entities. Satan has authority over the earth - but not as kingship, sonship, or priesthood in the kingdom. Satan's kingdom ties him very, very closely to the earthly kingdoms as we can see in Revelation. But, he can never be king, son, or priest. His authority lies elsewhere. Make sense?

I agree with this, but as I ponder about the deed issue, God has allowed Satan to have reign over the earthly kingdoms for God's own purpose which is part of His plan. I figured God gave the deed to the earth to Adam, and when Adam sinned the deed was passed to Satan, however, God is the only one who has authority to open the deeds contents as we see in Revelation Chapter 5. The Lamb of God is God, and the rightful owner of the deed to creation. God allowed Adam to posses the deed, and then when Adam sinned, He allowed Satan to posses the deed. All of creation is still God's, but God declares who has dominion over what for His name and His name alone is written on the deed. Amen!? As Paul says, Romans 13:1 13 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

MikeTaft - I think we are saying similar things, though maybe at the most detailed level, we are a little disconnected. God does give authority to satan, just as you said, to serve God's purpose - even to the point of enslaving the very king that God has appointed in the earth - at various times. When Adam sinned, he became indebted to Death and Sin. And that is where I believe the authority has been given to Satan. Satan works closely in the kingdoms and princes of the earth. But I believe that God is still working with mankind in regard to bringing in the kingdom and fulfilling the mandates required. I do not believe the scroll is a deed. But perhaps we can compromise and say, if there is a deed to the earth, it is being held in escrow?

God does give authority to satan, just as you said, to serve God's purpose - even to the point of enslaving the very king that God has appointed in the earth - at various times. When Adam sinned, he became indebted to Death and Sin. And that is where I believe the authority has been given to Satan. Satan works closely in the kingdoms and princes of the earth. But I believe that God is still working with mankind in regard to bringing in the kingdom and fulfilling the mandates required. I do not believe the scroll is a deed. But perhaps we can compromise and say, if there is a deed to the earth, it is being held in escrow? I can agree with that. I'm just throwing ideas out there. John doesn't exactly explain in detail the exact contents of the scroll, nor does Jesus read a discourse from the scroll either, unless I'm mistaken.

That whole deed thing kept me up all night last Saturday - in prayer and thought. Then I had to drive the next day. Then God did that thing with Psalm 47. Let's keep holding it up to the Lord. So much to discover still! I'm actually hoping that, when we are glorified, that we don't immediately know all the answers to the riddles in scripture. I want a chance to still figure them out with maybe a few key hints.

I believe we’ll still have the joy of searching out God’s word and being enlightened for all eternity, but with the most awesome bonus of not having sin and lies mixed in!
