That is sad news indeed -- but at the age of 99 -- the man had a nice long life.... (at least for our times).....
Now, before anyone else brings it up - I will do so ......
There is a "prophecy" (possibly by Benny Hinn) that when Billy Graham dies .... then the rapture will occur......
Not sure if this was really prophesied or if Benny Hinn said it .... but internet is full of videos passing it on as fact.......

yes, a kind of modern day Methuselah.

I agree we shouldn't debate his theology, but I was struck by the headline on Drudge, which said "Spread the Gospel around the world"
We know that the Gospel will preached to the whole world, then the end will come. Matt 24:14 (paraphrase). Given the signs, could this be a marker that the church age is closing? I don't know what to make of it, or that anything should be made of it, but it just kind of jumps out at me. Does that make sense to anyone else?

yes, a kind of modern day Methuselah. Methuselah died the same year as the flood, some speculate 7 days prior. I hope you are correct in that analogy!

Also, after Methuselah died the flood came. After the death of Moses (anniversary just yesterday) then Joshua led the people into the promised land.

William means protector. Franklin means freeman. Graham means home or dwelling.

With how many warnings and signs we’ve been given, I’ve no doubt this is just one more piece. And if we are that close, I believe we’ll be seeing things in hyperspeed the closer we get to The Day, as if we aren’t already.

You all might find this interesting. Steven Ben Noon had a dream of this and posted it on his YT channel back in May 19, 2013. What I found VERY interesting was, in his dream 'people were preparing for the rapture', sound familiar? Isn't that what we are doing here, now? Also, something else I found interesting was the way Steven seemed to 'offhandedly' refer to a scripture about God 'hiding His people, but before His Wrath', kind of like he wasn't sure what that meant or that it was meant for Israel or what, but he does go on to say that he doesn't subscribe to any pre-trib, trib, or post-trib rapture. He seems to be a 'wait and see' guy. Just before watching this, I literally just read Jeff's article "Zephaniah 2:1–3: A Promising Pre-Trib Prophecy Hidden in Plain Sight", so I'm thinking "Steven needs to read that article".

Not going to lie, that prophecy was the first thing I thought of when I heard he'd passed. But I'm looking for the rapture always. I want the crown for those who love His appearing. 2 Timothy 4:8.

Quick personal story about Billy Graham....I have very fond and vivid memories of being at my great grandmothers house laying on her floor and she would play Billy Graham revival sermons on her cassette player. I was probably four or five at the time (I am old now😀) and can still remember hearing that booming voice of his and how much I enjoyed hearing those stories he would tell.
Whenever I see or hear Billy graham now, I immediately think of my great grandmother and how blessed I was to have such Godly elders in my life. God fearing grandparents are truly priceless.
Also, I sometimes think about how many souls were saved at his revivals. Way too many to count by us humans, but God certainly knows exactly that number. Really makes me smile.
Lastly, I think about one person in particular that says he gave his life to the Lord at a Graham tent revival. And that is Louie Zamperini. If you haven't read his autobiography,"Unbroken" then I highly recommend it. (Don't waste your time on the movie). I tear up just thinking about his story but it is truly a living example of how far and how long God will pursue his flock ...even us prodigal sons.

Watched Billy's revivals on TV as a kid (back in the dark ages). I was always amazed at the incredible number of people coming forward at his alter calls.
I instantly thought of the prophecy mentioned here when my mother texted me today of his passing. I do not remember its origin.
Mom said..."BILLY GRAHAM DIED!"...I quoted Billy and said..."no he didn't! He's just changed his address".

Absent from the body, present with the Lord.
