Don't laugh, but his name is Soup.
All my coaches called me Soup growing up and friends and family still call me that. My kids thought it would be funny to name the dog Soup and of course the name stuck.
It's pretty embarrassing having to yell out "Soup" when the dog leaves the yard and runs down the street. Neighbors always giggle 😀

He is definitely the boss. It's amazing how a 10lb mutt can rule the house.

Ok, I don't know if this has been brought up yet (I will openly admit that I'd rather be outside enjoying the day, and have not read the other 8 pages of replies on the original topic), but I need to rain on the parade a little here.
The key to this entire story is the following line: "They were huddled up, trying to get out of rain."
Yes, 32 is a significant number, but what happened at this event is pretty simple, and I have to ask you all to make sure you aren't reading to much into what is simply a natural tragic event.
Like most mammals, cow would rather not stand in the rain. It can be cold, and it's uncomfortable. Without a human around to provide shelter for the cows, they are going to do what appears to be the best option to their little cow-brains. The solution: find a place where it is *not* raining, and stand there. For cow who are out in the pasture, this usually winds up being under trees. Right next to the trunk for maximum protection from the rain. Lightning....Lightning likes tall places. Spires on buildings, mountain tops, and..as we all know..trees. Fact: Lightning doesn't need to strike you direct, or indirectly to kill you. When a massive discharge hits a tree or pole, etc. the current doesn't just vanish as soon as it hits the earth. The ground has some resistance to it, and the voltage from a powerful bolt of lightning will be more than the ground can dissipate in a small area. As such, the electricity in the ground spreads out in a hemispherical shape from the point of contact. A surge of electricity is pushed out, looking for *all* available channels. It finds a leg on some poor cow just trying to stay dry, and very quickly goes up said leg, across the torso, and down another leg and back into the ground (mammals are made of a lot of water, while generic dirt is more resistant, as a result the path through the mammal is preferred for the electricity). This generally results in the death of said mammal.
This is also what happened here. Cows were around a spot that got hit by a powerful bolt of lightning, and the surge from the electricity trying to dissipate faster than the ground could handle it resulted in 32 new circuits being made momentarily.
Whether or not God had anything to do with the numbers, the names, etc. is not an issue I'm arguing against, but I just want to make it clear that cows dying in this manner is a natural result of them not being able to understand that standing next to a tree in a thunderstorm is bad.

neural, you make a good point about the lightning and the cows, but it's not just that incident. There are mass animal deaths worldwide. Here's a site that keeps track: www.end-times-prophecy.org/animal-deaths-birds-fish-end-times.htmlETA: this thread also just talks about weird animal news -- animals doing things out of the ordinary, mass deaths, weird animals, etc.

I'm simply looking to provide some balance. It is very easy to go off the rails with our enthusiasm, and I would contend that 32 cows is not a "mass die off" when it was in fact a natural result of cows staying out of the rain under trees, and electricity looking for the path of least resistance.
