On June 16, 2018, astronomers saw an object in a relatively nearby galaxy just 200 million light-years away brighten tremendously, in a fashion that had never been seen. Galaxy CGCG 137-068, a faint spiral galaxy with a central bar, hosted a transient object that flared up about halfway to the galaxy's edge, appearing along one of the spiral arms.
But it was as luminous as 100 billion Suns, making it at least 10 times as bright as a normal supernova. The matter leaving the vicinity was moving faster than matter moves even in the case of a supernova: about 10% the speed of light. It reached its peak brightness in less time — just 2 days — than other, similar events. And not only was it surrounded by extremely dense material, but it appeared to remain active for approximately 2 weeks. As the first object of its kind, it's been the subject of intense scrutiny and study by astronomers.
AT2018cow (ATLAS name: ATLAS18qqn; also known as Supernova 2018cow, SN 2018cow, and "The Cow") was a very powerful astronomical explosion, 10–100 times brighter than a normal supernova, spatially coincident with galaxy CGCG 137-068, approximately 200 million ly (60 million pc) distant in the Hercules constellation. It was first detected on 16 June 2018 by the ATLAS-HKO telescope, and had generated significant interest among astronomers throughout the world. Later, on 10 July 2018, and after AT2018cow had significantly faded, astronomers, based on followup studies with the Nordic Optical Telescope (NOT), formally described AT2018cow as SN 2018cow, a type Ib supernova, showing an "unprecedented spectrum for a supernova of this class"; although others, mostly at first but also more recently, have referred to it as a type Ic-BL supernova. An explanation to help better understand the unique features of AT2018cow has been presented.
Hercules has his foot on Draco, the dragon, in triumph over it.
The brightest star in Hercules is called Ras Algethi, Arabic for “The Kneeler’s Head”. Another star is called Sarin from Saris, the Hebrew word for “Officer” or “Minister of State.” The Chaldean word sarek means “President”or “Lord”.
One star has the name Maasym, which is Hebrew for “Despised One”. Still another star is Kajam from the Akkadian kittam meaning “justice”.
Revelation 12:7-17 King James Version (KJV)
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
NOTES:
Just looking through the calendar of things that took place during those 2 weeks was enough sorrow for the day... people are just angry.
I just listed some of the high lights that stuck out after spending about 30 min looking.
