Just because I was reading 1 John this morning 1John 5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.Amen! |

Gary , perhaps you should lock this thread so that it doesn't get out of hand and become a source of contention among brethren. I am in complete agreement with you and everyone of the same mind that the God head is three-in-one and right now, I believe the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit have their abode in the highest heaven. I believe that God made the angels/messengers to serve Him, but He made man to potentially and eventually be with Him and that by the power of the Holy Spirit, to bond with our human spirit and make us one with Him. In that sense, when we are changed, though we are one with God/Elohim, God/Elohim becomes many/millions/billions?
I wish the label had not been applied.

I apologize if my comments brought contention or anyone to stumble or the concept of the Trinity. I believe that the reason it is such a complex subject is that it is impossible to comprehend the concept because it goes beyond a concept. We are trying to comprehend something infinite with a finite brain. There is no analogy that will suffice our comprehension. It must cross over into the level of faith and revelation.
Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.
I love analogies because that is just how my mind works... but I have learned that there are a lot of people who do not think or comprehend on that level. This is the job of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the only one that can reveal these types of truth on a level that we see in the spirit since this is a spiritual principle. Spiritual principles are not something we can completely understand with our mind. It can only be completely understood in the spirit. We can only pray that God would allow the Holy Spirit to comfort & help us in the name of Jesus.
