EnochWalked: Do the seals/bowls/wrath of Revelation have to start immediately at the beginning of the 70th week, or could they start later, or earlier? Have they already started? The AC could have been one of the attendees at the UN meeting, but not fully revealed. Oct 1, 2023 9:31:27 GMT -6
EnochWalked: I guess I'm saying that the latest possible time that the AC could be revealed is mid-week, when he stops the sacrifices, but the sacrifices could start at any point before mid-week, perhaps just a month before, so that only a few sacrifices occur. Oct 1, 2023 9:36:54 GMT -6
firefrorefiddle: The Two Witnesses prophecy for 1260 days during the first half of the week. Oct 1, 2023 14:07:23 GMT -6
yardstick: its absolutely plausible that the two witness' murder and the AoD could occur within a few days of each other and the invasion of Israel, preceded by Rev 12:7-14 Oct 1, 2023 15:31:31 GMT -6 *
EnochWalked: Thanks fff and ys. I can't really imagine a situation in which the 2 witnesses are witnessing without either the Rapture having occurred or watchmen noticing who the 2 witnesses are, so I guess the witnessing has to start within ~1 month of the 70th week. Oct 1, 2023 20:45:38 GMT -6
EnochWalked: Here's an interesting 6 minute video from Steve Fletcher: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ew4mozf9qO8 "THE BIRTH ECLIPSE - OCTOBER 14, 2023". There's also this video, which has a 2550 day timeline from Oct. 14th: www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAwbAJ8uIFE Oct 2, 2023 9:34:25 GMT -6
EnochWalked: What if "the day or the hour" is a clue? He didn't just say "the day", and we know that the verb was in the present tense, not the future (and the Revelation to St. John was given later). So are we being told that we should be able to predict the hour? Oct 2, 2023 17:21:25 GMT -6
EnochWalked: It's always bugged me that even if we did calculate a day, it wouldn't be clear which 24 hour period that would refer to, because of time zones. I guess I've always just assumed Jerusalem time, but the Rapture is for the body of Christ, not Israel. Oct 2, 2023 17:23:02 GMT -6
EnochWalked: So is it possible that the Rapture will occur at a moment which we could predict in advance with precision, even down to fractions of a second? The Bible talks about lots of future events, like wars, famines, and earthquakes, but we can't predict those. Oct 2, 2023 17:25:42 GMT -6
EnochWalked: Even if we got really good at predicting them, we couldn't predict a precise second, but there is one type of event which does have a precise, predictable time, and that's the moment of maximum eclipse. Are eclipses unique in that way? Maybe solstices too? Oct 2, 2023 17:27:29 GMT -6
EnochWalked: The first video above seems to make an interesting scriptural case for the eclipse happening at exactly noon in one particular location, but timezones are a man made political invention, so it would require a complex scientific process to locate noon. Oct 2, 2023 17:30:07 GMT -6
EnochWalked: I'm trying to calculate where the sun will be at the moment of maximum eclipse. www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/solar/2023-october-14 The UTC time will be "14 Oct, 17:59:32", and, for example, Nicaragua's current timezone is CST = UTC -6 hours. Oct 2, 2023 20:22:01 GMT -6
EnochWalked: So in Nicaragua, the maximum eclipse will be at 11:59:32 local time. Then consider this location: www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/in/@3620680 "Bluefields". The maximum eclipse moment viewed from there occurs at 11:56 local time. Oct 2, 2023 20:24:14 GMT -6
EnochWalked: So my best guess is that the sun will be south east of there by a few minutes, which puts it above the Caribbean Sea: www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/map/2023-october-14?n=5467 Calculating when and where solar noon occurs is more difficult. Oct 2, 2023 20:29:48 GMT -6
EnochWalked: The site offers this feature, which shows the points on Earth that the Sun and Moon are above at a specified moment in time: www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/sunearth.html?day=14&month=10&year=2023&hour=17&min=59&sec=32&n=&ntxt=&earth=0 Oct 2, 2023 21:55:03 GMT -6
EnochWalked: I'm pretty sure that's "14 Oct, 17:59:32", the time of maximum eclipse, which puts the Sun and Moon about 1000 km off the coast of Peru, in the Pacific Ocean. It also confirms that at that moment, the maximum shadow is near Bluefields, Nicaragua. Oct 2, 2023 21:57:54 GMT -6
EnochWalked: Actually, the site says the Sun's zenith is "Latitude: 8° 15' South, Longitude: 92° 60' West", although I think there is a bug because you can't have "60'", so it should be "Longitude: 93°" instead. I think it's solar noon anywhere along that line. Oct 2, 2023 22:19:04 GMT -6
EnochWalked: For example, Minneapolis has a longitude of "93°16'W" and, according to www.timeanddate.com/sun/usa/minneapolis on October 14th, it experiences solar noon at 12:59 local time (CDT) which is 17:59 UTC. For Corpus Christi, however, it's 13:15 (CDT). Oct 2, 2023 22:23:15 GMT -6
yardstick: what is the significance of bluefields? Oct 3, 2023 18:59:42 GMT -6
EnochWalked: @ys Sorry, I don't think it necessarily has prophetic significance, but it is the nearest named place to the location of maximum eclipse (shadow) that TimeAndDate have timezone information for. The name is surprising, though, as Nicaraguans speak Spanish. Oct 4, 2023 7:58:20 GMT -6
