Greetings to my brothers and sisters in Christ! I thought I'd get a thread started where we can discuss all the themes of Egypt that we're finding related to the Great American Total Solar Eclipses and the Revelation 12 Sign. So far we have the following connections:
Joseph Joseph's dream of the sun, moon, and 11 stars bowing to him Moses The feasts of Israel connected with the Exodus The Egyptian crown of the Revelation 12 Sign The pyramid-shaped Mayak satellite set to be launched on 14 July 2017 The Christ Angle pointing to Leo Constellation on 20 September 2017 and to Virgo Constellation on 21 September 2017 (Rosh Hashanah) American Pharoah, the horse who won the Triple Crown The "X" where the 2 Great American Total Solar Eclipses occur over "Little Egypt."

Thank you for posting this! When you first mentioned this the other day I started an article on this subject, but then got side tracked with my two most recent articles. I'm going to circle back.
This is like Morse code and God is trying to tell us something, but why Egypt? I've written before that the Tribulation closely parallels Exodus, even down to 7 of the 10 plagues, but I can't help but wonder if there's something more we're missing with all these Egypt connections.
Maybe something big will happen in Egypt between now September and that will be a sign for those watching. Not sure.

I can't wait to read your article, Gary! Yes, there are so many Egypt-related aspects to the eclipses and the Revelation 12 sign--Egypt and Jupiter both--that it seems the Lord is indeed sending us Morse code.

Something I remembered from my old study notes from 2016: Has anyone heard of NASA's OSIRIS-REx? Did it launch as expected in September 2016? If so, it will reach Asteroid Bennu at some point in 2018 and return to earth in 2023.

According to another article, "The name OSIRIS-REx is an acronym for the spacecraft's mission objectives: Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, and Security-Regolith Explorer."

The plot thickens: The asteroid itself is also Egypt-connected. Both Bennu and Osiris are ancient Egyptian gods associated with resurrection. And "Rex" is the Latin word for "king" and was especially used for ancient Roman rulers. Here are some amazing Wikipedia articles that provide some mind-blowing connections with our eclipse/Revelation 12 Sign study. One such interesting thing is Bennu being known as "Lord of Jubilees."

Captain Obvious here: I think the Egyptian connections are there so that the sons and daughters of Jacob who are in America and abroad post Rapture know beyond a doubt that God is again actively engaging with them. The second largest population of Jewish people by nation after Israel is America. By far. When we are taken out in conjunction with the Feast of Trumpets leading up to Yom Kippur and Succoth, observant Jews will start to connect the dots the same way we have over the last months. In an instant, America will go from being a safe and prosperous place for them to not so much.
Add in Isaiah 17 and Ezekiel 38 timing as you see fit and Ba Da Boom. Now you have my attention right?!
Maybe the Rev. 12 sign and all these connections will cause them to open the New Testament for the first time and go from there. Hard to say but we all seem to agree that many of the things we see coming will be as much for the Jewish people as us even if it is in hindsight. I also have to believe that many rabbis have looked at the timing and paths of the 2017 and 2024 Eclipses and it has given them the shpilkes.
I mean how could it not as many of them are already saying publicly we are on the cusp of the Messiah appearing? I remember almost 10 years ago listening to a weekly podcast from two guys on the East Coast who were distributing airline flight options to Israel THEN telling anybody who would listen to make Aliyah now before it's too late.

Thanks Gary, this string prompted me to go back and find the website for the weekly podcast referenced earlier. As a point of reference they accurately predicted the election of obama based on gematria well before the first election when he was still a junior senator from Illinois. One of them passed from cancer a few years back so their podcasts and website went to archives. I like your theory very much, bc23! Wouldn't it be awesome if the 144,000 who are to be sealed in the time of the tribulation period are some who've seen and studied that sign and come to understand what the Lord is saying to them?

"Egypt" is not just a moniker for the country in North West Africa; it has become a code word for any oppressive nation holding God's people captive and preventing them from returning home. See Revelation 11:8, where Jerusalem is even called prophetically, "Sodom and Egypt." This is similar to "Babylon" (see 1 Pet. 5:13; Rev. 17:5).

I don't know if you were asking in jest, or being serious. Nevertheless...though Babylon is referenced as a singular city at times, there appears to be multiple cities associated with her downfall (see Revelation 16:19). So, in a sense, yes. The whole planet is Egypt (a network of evil; just look at the blatant, occult architecture linking D.C. to Rome to Egypt to Babylon, etc.)
London, Paris, Washington D.C., Rome, Jerusalem, Beijing, etc. All these epicenters of human pride will fall. It can be difficult to discern the nature of Mystery Babylon, because there is a religious, economic, and military aspect to this Tribulation conglomerate of nations, the people who oppose Christ and persecute His own (think also the Dragon of Rev. 12:3-4 -- a singular term representing a corporate entity -- Satan and the nations/cities of the world...)

Another possible Egypt connection with the Revelation 12 sign! What about, "Out of Egypt I called My Son"?
Matthew 2:13-23 is the story about Joseph and Mary escaping to Egypt with Jesus just after the Magi left them. Note this occurred after the Magi saw the sign of Jesus birth in the heavens and searched out the baby Jesus. Is this something like the Revelation 12 Sign symbolism? Here are the verses of the passage:
When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.” So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called my son.” When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi. Then what was said through the prophet Jeremiah was fulfilled: “A voice is heard in Ramah, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more.” After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt and said, “Get up, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who were trying to take the child’s life are dead.” So he got up, took the child and his mother and went to the land of Israel. But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee, and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was said through the prophets, that he would be called a Nazarene.
Here are just some speculations on the timing of how it might possibly fit with the Revelation 12 sign and eclipse. And I stress that this is merely speculation.
1. At this very moment, the sign is playing out in the heavens and being observed by wise men who are seeking to understand its meaning. 2. On the day of the sign in the heavens, the male child is born (the Church) 3. After the rapture of the Church, the wise men (perhaps the 144,000) seek Him out and spiritually find Him (becoming His new followers). 4. Meanwhile, the Dragon is enraged at the woman (Israel) because the child (the Church) escapes. 5. The woman must flee into the wilderness (Egypt, possibly in prophetic form the US) with the 2 wings of a great eagle. 6. Just like Jacob's family in Egypt during the famine, the woman is nourished for half of the tribulation period in the wilderness. I notice it is very interesting that Mary's husband's name is Joseph, just like the son of Jacob who was Joseph. 7. The Lord returns at Armageddon and His people Israel are gathered together--bringing them out of Egypt--perhaps just after the "X" is made over "Little Egypt" in 2024. |

The only issue I would have with Israel fleeing to the US as the wilderness is Isaiah 63 (paired with Micah 2:12 and Is 34:6 ) which says that He returns to the area of Bozrah, Edom and gathers the Jews.

Jinkies! I just had a thought and running quick math and connections.
I am connecting the Rev. 12 sign (with the crown resembling one of Egypt) the upcoming solar eclipse and Egypt and America.
Bear with me, please. I am spitballing here.
God had historically shown that He blesses those who bless and honor the Jewish people and deals with those who oppress or curse the Jews.
Speaking to Abraham, God said, "I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." Genesis 12:2-3
Egypt was a nation who was initially blessed by God through Joseph. The Jewish people became numerous and mighty, the ensuing Pharoah's forgot about the contribution of the Jewish nation and our God and enslaved them for 430 years (Exodus 12:40). I believe this was a sin of COMMISSION by that nation and God dealt harshly with the Egyptians.
America was also a nation blessed by God through the Jewish people. I'm a little foggy on my facts, but wasn't Columbus commissioned by the Jewish people to find them a home where they could dwell peacefully and escape the Spanish Inquisition (1492)? America was formed, and a side note: even our MONEY contains Egyptian and Jewish symbolism.
Fast forward to America's sin of OMISSION regarding the Jewish people. In WWII, despite Churchill's pleas, we wanted no part of a war. We even TURNED away ships loaded with Jewish people trying to escape Europe and the Holocaust. We were DRAGGED into war after Pearl Harbor in Dec. 1941. Our first troops landed in Australia in April 1942. Between 1492 and today, this nation has seen great highs and lows, both for and against God and His people.
Egypt enslaved the Jewish people for 430 years, according to Moses. Since he was a prince of Egypt and reared with a royal education, I am guessing he knew the history and the numbers, not to mention, all the time he spent with God, so I am thinking his numbers are spot on.
America..."Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492." We landed in Australia in 1942. 430 years, depending on one's math.
Egypt's curse was OVERT.
America's curse more COVERT.
Egypt's destruction was mind blowing.
America's coming destruction will be considerable: Jewish people dwell here. Jesus' sealed dwell here. We still have signs for those whom are awake and watching, eclipses. Once we're gone, I think the gloves will come off.
