Hey, so, we as a community are always talking about the lateness of the hour. So, I wondered: If if we compressed the church age into a single hour, how much time do we have left? Well, if September 23 is the end, then there would be about 1/3 of a second left.
1/3 of a second.
If that doesn't inspire you to strive for holiness like no tommorow, I don't know what will.

We are talking weeks now... just weeks (if we're right). I don't think any of us can truly imagine how close we are in the grand scheme of things.

2 Peter 3:4 They will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation."
I have been basically fallen into this trap. Work (for me at least) has always been a measure of scheduling what needs to get done and the order of each task. It is not unusual to have things scheduled six months to a year in advance.
Do we even have that much time remaining?
Just finished an hour and ½ meeting – where we the internal team is finishing up High level design requirements, getting ready to start work on the Requirement Traceability Matrix or RTM. This is the step just before we start the coding effort. The Coding effort are the processes that are seen by the user of the product. So think buttons to send messages, or to save, or to delete …. Or whatever user action that needs to be accomplished – to continue the work of the original system.
Anyway, one of the items we are also doing at this time is Risk Management – which identifies possible RISKS (“think snags”) that is such and such happen would delay or even stop the over implementation of the system. The manager kept asking if we have discovered any more possible risks …..
I was SO TEMPTED (but I did not since I need to remain employed) to mention that there may be a high probability that the Christian Rapture will be taken place in the next couple of weeks – and some of us will no longer be here – and those who are here may have other things to deal with rather than this project scheduled to be completed by first quarter next year.

I have a number of business-related possibilities that are being laid out for me into next year and beyond--but I have no heart for them, as great as they sound!
