Dunkirk Evacuation as an illustration of prophecy

With the recent release of the Dunkirk movie, I wanted to go back and look at some thoughts that struck me.

The Dunkirk evacuation was the withdrawal of troops from France to England ahead of Hitler's victorious armies in 1940.

1. When it became apparent that the combined Allied forces could not hold the line against Hitler's armies, the evacuation began. It was operated primarily by the British for the primary purpose of removing their own soldiers back to England to safety. However, French, and other nationalities were also included--it was a multinational evacuation.
2. Materiel was left behind. Soldiers took little to nothing with them but the clothes on their back, so they could get more men into each boat up to its weight limit. No equipment of any consequence was taken with them.
3. The soldiers were under attack as they waited on the beach, and as they were evacuated by boat. Particularly under attack from the air.
4. For some reason, Hitler ordered Rommel to wait and not press his troops out onto the beach to kill those massed ready to be evacuated.
5. The soldiers were rescued from attacks by a nation with a symbol of an eagle (Germany) and taken to a nation with the symbol of a lion (England).
6. The soldiers were amassed in England, and re-equipped to fight again at a later time.
7. For several years, Fortress Europe under control of Hitler was subject to massive bombardment, starvation, illness, etc.
8. Hitler persecuted the Jews and killed as many as possible.
9. After several years, in 1944, a much better-equipped multinational army launched suddenly across into France, overwhelming the defenses and achieving victory.
This makes me think of Jesus coming for us at the Rapture and rescuing us out before the earth is bombarded with destruction, and us being re-equipped to re-invade the nearly destroyed planet.
