Markos, if I may ask, what was it that converted you from being an atheist? I thought it might help me with my daughter. I can't say I've been atheist, as I've always believed in a creator. I have had various weird views in the time before I came to believe in Jesus Christ, Son of God & Messiah of the Jews, and His death for my sins, burial, and resurrection in fulfillment of prophecy. I didn't start with Chuck Missler, but he makes an excellent prophet to the nerds (to which tribe I belong). His book, Cosmic Codes, details how the Bible is provable as a supernatural work from beyond this four dimensional realm. It reads easy, and a good reader could get it down by this weekend. It removed many doubts I had. I will pray for your daughter, and for your work. I hope you won't need it, though! Your situation would make me sick with worry. God can move mountains and melt hearts! He loves you and your family! Have faith He will do.

Markos, if I may ask, what was it that converted you from being an atheist? I thought it might help me with my daughter. Hi Stormyknight, I have wrote my background in the Whatever section thread "Hello". But, in a nutshell i am what people would label a conspiracy theorist, though I would say truther (The Irony). I was convinced in Ancient Aliens and the there would be a disclosure in our lifetime, I mean scientist have practically admitted that there's life out there, the Pope said he'd baptise aliens, and the TV is programming us that aliens exist, so say 40-50 years ago when there might have been panic, now, people will just say I knew it all along. I was also aware that the majority of the elites and powerful people are into satanic cults, but that never bothered me because I seen it just like Christians went to Church. I never believed in evolution, I never believed for one minute that my great uncle Peter used to be bacteria. But I did think we had been helped along the way. It was not until I read a quote from a guy called Ben Rich saying that not only can we reach the stars, but take ET home, and that all points in space and time are connected. I thought wow, that sounds like the realms of God! I mean Foo Fighters from World War 2 balls of light that appear then disappear well documented, the same thing. So I started looking in to Bible Prophesy and it just blew my mind, it took around 4 weeks when Faith hit me and I dropped to my knees like i'd been shot. A lot of family members now think i've lost the plot, and I've stopped seeing my Dad because he wants me to "Stop being daft!" And, as you are all aware, once you have Faith you cannot deny him. The scary thing is, once I accepted the Lord, everything else I had been looking in to just fell in to place. Everything is connected. It's hard to explain on a message board but this is the gist of it. Markos

Hunting for truth (otherwise known as conspiracy theories to morons) led me down many weird dead end paths. Finally, I read the Bible, assuming at least the people who wrote it thought it vitally important to tell future generations. The more I studied, the more I knew I'd been lied to about a great many things. Most of the lies were told by people too ignorant to know better, though. I know that we are on the verge of KNOWING whether the Bible is true or false. I already believe it is true. It astounds me how we live in a country (USA), surrounded by churches, where actually believing the Bible makes people look at you funny. But, tell them they evolved from sea brine, while spinning on a ball, around another ball of fire, hurtling through space, and they assume you are just as bright as they are!

I think just as the Pharisees didn't recognize Jesus as the true Messiah (fulfilling many OT prophesies), despite all the works He did ( John 10:31-39), I believe there will be many who still won't see what's coming upon the earth as meaning the bible is true. Or more importantly, that they should repent. Revelation 9:20-21 New King James Version (NKJV) 20 But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk. 21 And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.

I've always believed there was/is a Creator, that God existed. I grew up heavily steep in Catholicism and even when I realized it's "falseness", I didn't lose my belief in God. But I did go through different phases of other beliefs about what has happened here on earth. One cannot ignore the ancient cities of stone that have the same type of building blocks that are separated by thousands of miles and also oceans and it made me think that there were ancient aliens also. I thought that maybe these aliens were from a time tens of thousands of years before us that had been part of God's plan at another time and moved on to the universe and now it was our time to do the same. I know now that that is not truth. The universe waits for us and when I found that out it gave me a thrill like no other. I don't know what to think of places like Gobekli Tepe. I guess we will find out soon enough, won't we.

I'm new here and spent quite a bit of time reading the articles, specifically the one about Revelation 12 and the signs in the sky. I think most of you would agree that we don't know the day or hour of the rapture. It sounds like some of you are anticipating that the rapture will occur on September 23rd though. Is there a reason why in light of the scriptures saying we won't know the day or hour? Who is this sign for? The Jewish people, Christians, the world? What do you think will happen as a result of this? Do you think the sign will appear and nothing catastrophic will happen that day? Perhaps it will a silent sign like the star over Bethlehem? Go research and figure out what the term "the day that no man knows" means and what it refers to. Likewise, learn what the term "twinkling of an eye" and "last trump" refer to. Here is a hint.... all of these terms reference the same thing. Then you will have your answer as to why some perceive that this upcoming event could very well be the time of the removal of the righteous.

Markos, if I may ask, what was it that converted you from being an atheist? I thought it might help me with my daughter. I was raised around the Church and came to Christ in my late teens, so I can't speak from the point of view of atheism. However, I am extraordinarily logical person. My belief in God is buttressed by the evidence of Him in our universe. Data and trend analysis are a large part of my career. Natural sciences are amazing to me. When we observe our universe and we see the natural law that applies to it, to believe that it occurred at random defies logic. I saw this video recently that does a much more eloquent job at explaining than I can in this forum, but when I have this discussion with unbelieving friends, it tends to at least plant the seed. I don't know if it will be of any help, but I will pray also.

I guess we will find out soon enough, won't we. I think some researchers such as Steve Quayle & L.A. Marzulli have dug up interesting info on ancient civilizations. In a nutshell...the fallen angels mated with women, giving birth to the Nephilim. The Nephilim have six toes, six fingers, are Giants, and were bloodthirsty, evil cannibals. God washed the problem away. The Angels (this thing keeps capatilizing ball team names, so please excuse that) started the same problem to a lesser degree after the flood too. Some combination of angel/Nephilim/human civilization both before and after the flood built all the megalithic structures we find and seeded the belief that THEY created mankind. Over the years, as noted by Graham Hancock, the demons have morphed into aliens. Same m.o., different costumes. The 'aliens' will one day return to save mankind from itself and get us ready to evolve to the next dimension. That is a short version of that particular slice of the pie of the great deception...or should we just start calling it next Tuesday or so at this point?

Hi Andrew, Since me finding Faith, it really does amaze me just how many so called conspiracy theorists actually find God at the end of their search! I mean, we have all been moved in some way shape or form in to knowing the truth, we can't all be crazy! So you would think people who have not been fortunate enough to find God would at least do some research because we all can't be wrong coming to the same conclusion. As for the on the verge of knowing. I feel exactly the same. When I was doing my research before I found God I was sure it was about to be about disclosure................. Now however, I think it is even more huge than that. Markos

Thank you, thetimeoftheend for that video. That was like pouring more concrete around the foundation of Faith! I really hope that the Father will show us something like a "Documentary of Time" to explain it all. As I've said before I grew up in a big family on a farm, well all of us have gone on to higher education. All nine of us. So you can imagine the amount of secular "input" that came with my spiritual path. We are all pretty close, so sharing knowledge is common. Dad was a pilot as were three of my brother's and my second daughter. One of them is actually an aeronautical engineer. Dad and Mom were Ham Radio Operators, so was my oldest brother. There's a geologist, a meteorologist, and a couple artists(including me). That's not everybody, and I'm not saying this to toot my family's horn, I'm just giving a background of what I grew up in. So exploring the cosmos, so to speak, came natural to me. I even had the SETI software for awhile. Having read Carl Sagan's "Contact", certain phrases stuck with me, like "I'll tell you one thing about the universe, though. The universe is a pretty big place. It's bigger than anything anyone has ever dreamed of before. So if it's just us... seems like an awful waste of space." Ellie Arroway. That line was actually from the movie, but you get the gist. BUT, THE THING IS, the more I learned about God, the more I learned about Scripture, the more I saw Prophecy fall into place, the more I came to realize what with over 7 billion people on the earth right now and who knows how many souls have actually lived and walked this earth in the past, we need a place to go! Yes we, the Church, will go to Heaven, to the Throne of the Father, and will reign with Jesus Christ in the Millennium, but what about after that? I can't remember where it's said, but doesn't creation wait with eager longing for the birth of the children of God? When those pieces of the puzzle fit together in my mind it was like the light just keeps getting brighter and brighter. The universe may not be so big after all?
edit: spelling second edit: Found it! Romans 8:19 "For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.."

I really hope that the Father will show us something like a "Documentary of Time" to explain it all. Not to hijack this thread, but this statement reached me and I wanted to say -- Yes, I too would REALLY like to SEE and Understand the "HISTORY" of the world .... not little snippets here and there .... but the whole lot of everything that went on. For example the Grand Canyon -- how was that created -- or the Pyramids found around the world -- made of multi-ton stones -- and placed together so precisely that not a slip of paper will fit between them and those are only some of the questions. Will it be some sort of documentary (as you lay out) -- or something else..... A strange thought came to me while typing ... we do NOT know what eternity is all about -- the "Place without time". I suppose it is possible -- once we step into eternity -- to then perceive everything that happen within the realm of TIME..... MEANING we will be able to see the world/universe HISTORY -- as it occurs -- since there is no time.........

kjs similar thoughts here. One example I think about Jesus saying "I saw Satan fall like lightning" when it's very possible that it hasn't happened yet Rev 12:9 (Satan cast out)

The more I learn about it, I see God's fingerprints all over it. It's all about the math to me, which is a universal language. It's also funny that you should say that about the documentary piece, because I was pondering that very same thing this morning. I know that we shall know as we are known, but I want to see all of that history, to explore it. We will see what our King has in store for us, hopefully very soon.

There was an IMAX movie that my wife and I saw up at the planetarium/IMAX theater in Denver called "Hubble 3D". If ever there was a movie to show the wonders of the Heavens, that was it. The first part was all about fixing a broken Hubble Space Telescope, which was cool, of course. Felt like you were there floating with the astronauts and whatnot. But the second part, OH MY. It took you on a journey to the Orion Nebula at trillions of miles per hour, IN 3D!(3D Glasses included of course). It truly felt like you could reach out and hold the gaseous beginnings of solar systems that you could see dotted around the Nebula in your hand. Massive bow-shocks around each from the indescribable explosion that took place there. And this movie put you in the middle of it. It was all around you. I don't know about my wife, but I really lost myself in it. I was flying. I couldn't stop smiling afterword. I've climbed a mountain in Colorado and was amazed by that view, but this, this was... well there was just no comparison. I want to go back so bad...
