While it has been sooooo cold here in southern Michigan, I had asked the Lord for a white Christmas and got more than I had expected lol. We had a lot of snow and then a couple warming days and most of it melted and turned icky looking. This morning I was admiring the winter wonderland I was driving through on my way to work. It was -7 actual degrees as I was driving. All the trees were ice covered and sparkling in the morning sun. I was thanking the Lord for a beautiful drive to work and started coming up over a hill and saw this. My photographs unfortunately do not do this any justice. Definitely one of those moments were I wished I had my DSLR on me. The arctic halo as rare as it is and usually occurs much farther north than I live was right in front of me. The colors around the sun took my breath away. I almost drove my car off the road in my awe staring at the beauty the Lord gives us. I wish the colors of the rainbow in the halo showed better. I really needed this this morning. I felt so much joy looking at it, knowing it would shortly be gone.

Could be wrong here but some of what I'm reading sounds similar to replacement theology. Can you correct me or address the distinction? Edit - praying for and thanking God for you daily You and I think a lot a like sometimes mike. Thanks for the clarification @silentknight.

Great points cwood85 ! Like you this is tying into Restoration very nicely. You think SK was ready with this or just threw it together the past few weeks Oh, I think he has been putting this together for a long time lol. Or he is the best impromptu writer there ever was.

I don't know about anyone else, but this thread is actually helping me understand the restoration thread even better. It actually (to me) ties in a lot of "prophecy" loopholes and missing links together more than what we have been taught as the mainstream prophecy theories and makes a lot more sense. For example (and excuse my prophecy ignorance as I have really only been diving into this for about eight or nine months)
1. The pre-tribulation rapture: While in some cases this theory does stand up in better in scripture than some of the other theories it still has a lot of holes. IF there is a seven year "tribulation" than what will we be doing after being taken from the Earth while everyone else goes through literal hell? Having Pina Coladas on heavenly beaches and a party? Some say we prepare to come back down with Christ to do battle and defeat the anti-christ. BUT non of that is very clear in scripture in imho. Some say it will happen to turn the Jews to jealousy.
2. The current theory of the tribulation itself. In the past when God puts judgment onto the entire Earth or a city, it seems to happen rather quickly (at least from my understanding). The flood was the longest period of time but it was days (40), not years. Sodom and Gomorrah happened within a night and so on in the bible with similar happenings of destruction. I know Revelation goes in depth over the seals and the bowls and that what is attributed to the seven year tribulation. But to me some of these seals have already been opened and have been happening. I believe the current belief of seven years of absolute hell on earth ties into ET.
3. The current situation with Israel. While we seem to be seeing so much happening with Israel and what seems to be the possible alignment of Ezekiel 38, to me a little question that has always sat in the back of my mind is why would God strive to protect a people who still to this day deny Him? Who want to build a temple to sacrifice on, when the ultimate sacrifice was completed 2000 years ago. They utterly deny Him and others who believe with hatred. I have seen it. You talk to someone who obediently follows Judaism, and tell them you are a Christian and that Christ is coming for us because we have been saved by Him, they will promptly tell you the Messiah is coming to squish us like a bug because we are not His people, they are! The nation of Israel is over 70% Judaism believers. I do not have anything against them. This is what a lot of them believe.
These are just things that I question and have been unsure of for years, even before really studying like I have been over the last several months. Maybe my lack of knowledge on the subject is helping me see SK's theory in a much clearer light. I am praying about this and asking for understanding. One more thing that SK's theory does is stick with how prophecy happens in the bible and how the Jewish people understand it, as patterns, not what is going to happen or come.

Amen! My son started kindergarten this year and I was so happy when I heard the full pledge of allegiance read over the schools PA system. I stopped in the hall with my hand over my heart and a tear in my eye and thanked the Lord his school did this and hasn't caved to completely eliminating God in every way possible.

Enjoying thoroughly @silentknight. Read Genesis 48-50 (which are some of my favorite passages) this evening and how refreshing and deep! There is a lot going on there, but I took in a lot more than I ever have before. So much good stuff in this thread!
Just so I am prepared, will I need to be buying another ream of paper?

cw, unfortunately, my husband is currently not walking the pentacostal walk right now. However, I do feel he is in the middle of the floor of the Red Sea with the walls of water on either side of him. I am almost borderline too much on unsealed to where he is kinda concerned about my time here, but I have faith in the HS to resolve his concern about my fellowship on Unsealed. but Yes, mom lives next door on our place, and her best friend is visiting for thru the new year. She was my sower. cw, has the burden of your family actually been lifted a little, though? After all, it is truly in His Hands, the WHOLE thing. As we are learning here, if we can recognize where people are at in their winnowing we can better target our prayers for them, but also too, we know that it is God's doing of where they are on things. Teach them that! Some are gonna come to Him kicking and screaming, and holding the door frame in resistance, others will be running to him! The whole world IS in His Hands! "He's got the Whole World in His Hands"...ah those crazy songs of the 60's...or was that the 70's. I was born in '68.. In the last month or two discussions with some of my family has eased a little, in small doses. SK's Restoration thread has actually helped in my understanding and discussing scripture a lot. Yes it is truly in His hands and easing the tensions in discussing scripture is in my prayers often to Him regarding my family, especially my husband. All this stuff going on with Israel has gotten my husbands attention and asking questions.

@pillarofsaultgoodman WELCOME!!!!! Merry Christmas!! What a blessing these couple of posts by Sk have been. Love all that come here, but am grateful there are those who are interjecting that are "new member" by forum standards to posting. And if you pillar, have been here longer than "new" you know you are coming across a buffet of Prime Rib, Roasted Lamb, and delicious duck. Hope you are not a vegetarian. This is about the extent of my humor, as this is so critical & serious to me and I KNOW also it is so to the others that I know are following. Ok, so I have read Gen 1 so many times I can not remember...fig flew right over my head! Really?! Not one Word of the Bible is void. standing by for why you bolded this word... and in re: to the scrolls...Mom and Hazel got all excited as they equated the pit and the ox dying in it and the ownership story of that to the only one found worthy to open the scroll and that was the Lamb of God, the crucified Christ, the one who now had the deed. This is what both of them learned in study before. And this adds more to my agreement with rt that the scroll was opened after Christ rose, at least the first few... but no derailing! sitting down, patiently....waiting....the next post barbiosheepgirl you are so fortunate to to have family you can talk to about this kind of stuff My family has become very divided over discussing scriptures in recent years. Once in a great while my husband will talk, but in very small doses and In all honesty it is me doing most of the talking...

Hope this is ok to post here @silentknight. If not, please feel free to remove. This is a video paulwatchmandawson posted on his YouTube channel that explains a lot of what SK is referring to the kingdom being all around us and our current understanding of different dimensions in a much better explanation than what I can offer
