I had just read Daniel Matson's article about this day.

Gary, I loved your article and will definitely be watching during this time. One thing I'm scratching my head about, though, is that you said Jesus rose on the 8th day. Since Jesus rose on the 3rd day, are you talking about the 8th day of the month?

Hi, Linda! I think that is the 8th day of the Passion Week--Palm Sunday to Resurrection Sunday.

Hi, Linda! I think that is the 8th day of the Passion Week--Palm Sunday to Resurrection Sunday. Thanks, whatif! That makes sense. I loved the article, but that one little detail was nagging at me. I stumbled over it too until I realized he was talking about Sunday. Sunday is the 1st day of a new week, but it's the 8th day when counting a previous week. Describing it like this makes it both a "last day" and a "first day" which both can have prophetic implications. It's pretty fascinating.

Just as #1 is the number of beginnings, #8 is the number of NEW beginnings. One of my favorite new beginnings is in John Chapter 8 where Jesus tells the woman caught in adultery that her sins were forgiven her-- "Go and sin no more." A new beginning. Many chapter 8's in the Bible deal with a new beginning.
