2 Timothy 3:12-17 :Indeed All who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived, But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from who you learned it and from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof ,for correction, and for training in righteousness that the man of God may be complete ,equipped for every good work."ESV
These verses really spoke to me this morning. I had persecution at work . It really bothered me. I was very excited about my Church sermon and wanted to mention it to my coworkers .They were very unresponsive and didn't want hear what I had to say. I wanted to talk about the love of God and how God loves everyone . If we do not show the love of God as true Christians how can the unbeliever ever accept the gospel. I started to talk about different people groups ,nationalities and cultures throughout the world that do not know the truth. I wanted to mention this to some of my co-workers and they shut me down and changed the subject.
I wanted to post this because I'm sure that many other Christians have experienced this same type of persecution. This should not stop us from presenting the gospel so that the gospel message can be taken to the ends of the earth. We all need to stand strong in the faith and encourage each other in these times in which we live. Jesus is coming back soon and satan knows this and he tries to put a foothold in the door which causes others to be deceived. We must stand together and not let him get in our way. God is Always With us!
Finally, I wanted to read Ephesians 6 which is about putting on the full armor of God".Finally be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the full armor of God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against the rulers against the authorities against the cosmic powers over this present darkness against the spiritual forces of evil in the Heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all to stand firm. Stand there for having fasten on the belt of Truth and having put on the breastplate of righteousness and as shoes for your feet having put on the readiness given by the Gospel of Peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of Faith which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one and take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit which is the word of God, praying at all times in the spirit with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance making supplication for all the saints and also for me that words may be given to me and opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel for which I am an ambassador in chains that I might declare it boldly as I ought to speak." Ephesians 6: 10-20 ESV.
