I'm definitely on board with him. My timeline is pretty similar to what Missler proposes:

Also, I agree that "man of lawlessness" or "son of perdition" or "beast from the sea" are more proper terms for THE antichrist. There have been many antichrists through history (Antiochus, Nero, Hitler, etc).

On point #3 - yes, he's exactly right there. The GT is the latter half of Daniel's 70th Week. The Church has been undergoing small 't' tribulation for 2,000 years, but will not experience big 'T' Tribulation.

Missler's talk has me stewing on a possible scenario that might resolve some various conflicts:

2018: 70th anniversary of Israel / 1 year anniversary of REV12 - Jewish State Law - RAPTURE - Seal #1 (THE antichrist revealed) - Seal #2 (Ezekiel 38)

2019-2021: Seals #1 and #2 complete - AC gathers power

2021: AC enforces covenant with Israel - Start of Daniel's 70th Week (interestingly, before I saw this video I had conjectured that the 70th Week would begin after Seals #1-2, but before Seal #3)

2024-2025: Mid-trib events - AOD - Jews flee

2028: Second Coming - all things fulfilled according to Mt. 24 fig tree (not Lk. 21 fig tree) - 80th anniversary of Israel


Thus:

1. All the end of the age prophecies (rapture, Ez. 38, 70th Week, 2nd Coming) are fulfilled precisely 70-80 years from Israel's establishment (c.f. Ps. 90:10).

2. The 10 Days of Awe between FOT and Yom Kippur can have significance, representing the 10 years between these holidays' ultimate fulfillments.

3. The 7 years it takes to clean up northern Israel after Ez. 38 can complete around the midpoint of the Trib.

4. The 7-year spaced solar eclipses (2017 to 2024) can still have significance, the first a roughly one-year warning to the Gentiles, and the second an immediate or one-year warning of the final AOD

Interesting specualtion Gary. I have always thought that since the other 483 years of Daniel's 70 week prophecy were related to sabbath years, that the final 7 years would also occur in line with sabbath years.


The next Sabbath year in Israel occurs in the fall of 2021 or Hebrew year 5782.

So the rapture happens this year and the man of sin revealed? When did the falling away happen?
What happens to credibility if it doesn’t happen this year?

That said, @gary, I had a brief discussion with mike a few weeks ago about an attempt to flesh out the hypothesis that Revelation 12 is a roadmap/overview of the Tribulation. Given the link and information you provided above, what are your thoughts on the following:

I have to add an additional thought to item 9 above, by way of a question:  Who or What is Zion? The woman is referred to as Zion in other passages. I wonder if we use it to refer to Israel when in fact it refers to something else: the Kingdom of God maybe?

additional commentary on item 10:

c - the sweeping of the stars is a prophetic representation of the casting out of Satan and his followers, which occurs 'physically' later (j)

e - the male child [specifically related to the birth] may refer to ALL those who will (eventually) enter the Kingdom of God - trib saints, and pre-harpazo believers, Abraham-like historical characters whose belief was credited to them as righteousness - ALL those who are 'citizens'

g - given the above, is it possible that the woman fleeing to the wilderness is the removal of the above people, whether by harpazo, or in the case of the jewish remnant during the tribulation, or the trib believers who are killed for their faith


I will also add the rest of Rev 12, from v10:

v10-v12 ... the proclamation - where else is it referred to scripturally? Is it a single speaker? Is it a vignette vision within the vision of Rev 12?
v13-v17 ......... may refer to the AoD at the time that Satan indwells the AC. Pursuit of the woman may be a way of explaining how Satan tries to set up his own kingdom, with his own believers in the sense that he is attempting to usurp the Kingdom of God (if that is who the woman is). This does not preclude (IMHO) an attempt to exterminate all believers (jew and non) who are on earth during the Trib. Note that the attempt to eliminate woman fails and the Dragon goes after 'the rest of her offspring'.

I just noticed something odd:

v13 - the dragon (δράκων - drakon - noun - nominative singular masculine) is hurled to the earth if this is Satan, then wouldn't it make sense for all references to 'Dragon" in Revelation to describe Satan? therefore:

v14 - the woman is taken out of whose reach? The Serpent's (ὂφεως - opheos - noun - genitive singular masculine). Why not Dragon? Are references to the Serpent in Revelation directed to the AC by process of elimination? If not, why does John feel the need to change the term used for Satan?

v15 - The Serpent's (ὄφις - ophis - noun - nominative singular masculine) mouth spews the water (A command to march?) - if the Serpent is the AC, and the water is his army... I would not be surprised to find the earth literally swallowing up an army... incidentally, the term 'serpent' is 'ophis' in the greek, not 'drakon'. Used figuratively (in the KJV lexicon below) it means 'an artful[ly] malicious person'

v16 - in this verse the Dragon (δράκων - drakon - noun - nominative singular masculine) is who spews the water...  the Lexicon uses 'drakon' and defines it (in the KJV below) as 'a fabulous kind of serpent'

Would it be unreasonable to draw the conclusion that what we are seeing here is the AC possessed by Satan, invading Israel for purposes of exterminating the jews and just before the setting up of the AoD? But the jews get away! See v17:

v17 - 
Why would the dragon be enraged? Because first the 'male child' got away, and then the woman got away too? So he goes off to wage war against the rest of her offspring...

"...the rest of her offspring" are described:

Wouldn't that be the Tribulation Saints? Or could it be the 144,000; or both?
