I'm not a rich man by any means, but I do have stuff. Some of the things I have are very useful. I keep trying to think of the best ways to take steps toward allowing the things the Lord has given me to possibly be of some use to those who may need them after we are whisked away by the Lord.
Books, food, tools, Bible stuff, clothing, medical supplies, etc. Might there be ways to try to pass these things on to those who will come to know Jesus during the Tribulation? Is there any way we could leave "stashes of love" for those we are no longer able to help in any way?
Especially if there is a lot of "sudden destruction" that occurs on the earth at or around the time of the Rapture, and depending on exactly when and where the various judgments strike, those left remaining could be in very desperate straights. Quite possibly the infrastructure, economy, population, supply chain, and even the biosphere may be severely damaged. Struggling survivors may be in great need of assistance. How could we help them? Could we leave treasures for them?
Of course lawless godless plunderers may find the stashes we leave behind, too. Might there be ways for us to encrypt our stashes we leave in ways that only those who study the Scripture might be able to find them?
Might we pray over our stashes that the Lord might protect them and deliver them into the hands of someone who comes to know Him later, and has need of the goods?
When you leave this earth, what will become of the goods the Lord has blessed you with?

This is an important topic. I think all of us prepare in different ways. I know for the Unsealed team we've been working on the Left Behind letters and have had some volunteers translate. We have professional translations in German and French, but still seeking help with other languages.
In 2015 Greg had a big box of letters printed and I've kept a small stack in my briefcase since then. They've been in there for over a year and a half now (:
I've also worked to set up the website, so that it will hopefully stay up for some time after we're gone.
Other than that though, I'm not sure what preparation to do - I think the fear is that my home will get pillaged and possessions not fairly distributed. Personally I think leaving some explanatory letters around isn't a bad idea. People will need spiritual guidance more than anything. There are also a ton of inexpensive lockboxes on Amazon. You could stash a few small supplies/food goods in them and bury them.

Yes, I am definitely planning on burying a time-capsule style stash somewhere--maybe more than one, if I'm able to. I am working on writing a Rev. 12 tract for use before the Rapture, but I'm trying to make it relevant for afterward as well.
I think leaving hard-copy written documents for others to find is important, since there's no telling whether the internet will still be up, and whether the powers that be will instantly block anything that uses words like Rapture in it.
Basically, I like a shotgun approach--use every means possible as a way to help those who are left behind. Online, offline, electronic, hard-copy, etc. etc. etc.

Excellent thread, watchmanjim! You raise an excellent question! I've also been wondering about how to provide for one's pets and farm animals. I know the human souls are the most important of concerns, so I feel a little awkward asking about the animals, but any ideas on that side of the situation too?

We have a parakeet in a cage and the kids have two little lizards in a tub. I've wondered the same thing. Should we let them go when the date approaches? Give them to someone unsaved? I really don't know. Maybe I can rig a time-delay release for the parakeet at least.

I'm thinking about giving a house key to a family member I can trust who is not saved but who wouldn't use the key for ill purposes. The only thing is I'm hoping my unsaved family members will get saved--and if they do, I'm back at square one!

One thought I had while I was doing some grocery shopping tonight is that the earthquakes will be devastating. One idea for keeping things safe for those to come after us would be, as much as possible, to store foods in plastic containers rather than breakable glass.

Yes. I am planning to also bury a lot of garden seeds. I plan to use metal ammunition boxes (which are nearly waterproof) and then seal it inside plastic also, with the inner contents also sealed in plastic ziplocks.

Instead of leaving instructions - i'm telling everyone in my family the truth from start to finish. and everything in between. And then I'm going to pray hard that they will be saved on this side of the tribulation. That is my battle plan and my survival plan.

I've had the idea to keep some texts saved as drafts on my phone. All I need to do is press send. That way, as soon as I hear the trumpet, I can mass send a text to everyone I know.

Remember Beloved, He loves them more than we do.
I suspect by the text, The trumpet blast calls and it will be in the twinkling.you'll be startled, excited and then I'll be over...all in one second or less.

I started to keep a journal at the beginning of the year, recording information about the Revelation 12 sign, the Rapture, and many other Bible prophecy topics and news events as they occur. I'm hoping that any of my family members who come to search for me after the Rapture will find the journal and come to believe in the Lord. And should the Rapture not occur this year as I'm hoping it will, then I'll start up a new journal each year until it does happen, so there will be a little library of my thoughts and prayers for them and a record of the things I've learned through studying.
