No matter how bright a future a person might have today in this world, no believer in Jesus Christ is going to feel disappointed or somehow short-changed, upon their arrival at the Father's house, for having had their earthly life cut short by the harpazo. The moment we are transformed and brought into His presence, such unbiblical thoughts will dissipate like the morning fog gives way to the noon day Son. I guess, in a sense, I can sort of understand how a relatively young believer, young chronologically and perhaps young in the Lord, might be tempted to think that way, as they ponder their unfulfilled dreams and plans for a "normal" life span here on earth. I can see that dynamic in play with my daughter. It is difficult and frustrating for me as her earthly daddy to try to infuse into her a knowledge of just how not true such thoughts are. Everything that we might think of as good in this world will absolutely pale in comparison of simply being in the presence of our Savior and surrounded by His glory!!! The things of this world will truly grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace!!! So, if you or someone you know may be feeling any of these emotions, I just want to remind and encourage you with the truth that there is absolutely nothing that this world can offer us (fame, fortune, relationships, "Hallmark Moments", or success by whatever definition) that could ever even begin to approach the sense of peace and joy that will permeate every part of our being when we are home with our Creator. Maranatha!!!

Amen! Maranatha! I really love the way you phrased things. There will be no disappointment in Christ's presence. I also believe that a lot of our desires for this earthly life (even to use our gifts/talents for His glory) will be fulfilled in the millennial kingdom, when we reign with Christ for a thousand years ( Revelation 20:6). But it will be even better than now, because we won't have sinful flesh that's at odds with God's Spirit within us ( Romans 7:15-25, Romans 8:7-8 and Ephesians 2:15-16). We will get to live the lives God meant for us. That's part of the gospel/good news. God will make all things new. Including a new heaven and earth( Revelation 21:1).
