Hi friends. Thought I would bring up some interesting things I have seen in the last couple of days. Forgive me if this has already been discussed... many of you know much more than I do, and I am quite new to the study of eschatology. Anyway... Mark Biltz says that Matthew 24 has parallels with Hanukkah and the Macabees, and after briefly looking into it, it is very interesting. Here is a short video from Mark Biltz as well as a few other interesting documents I found.

I find it interesting that Hanukkah has 8 days, because all of the symbolism with the 8th day of Sukkot was so incredible that I keep thinking there has to be something with an 8th day somehow. Also wondering if the oil in the Menorah could relate to the Parable of the Virgins. Hanukkah is the Festival of Lights, and we are children of light. Weddings can take place on Hanukkah. Would love to hear some thoughts on this!

I realize Hanukkah is outside of the fall feast window. One thing I've been wondering though is if it is possible that Jesus fulfilled the fall feasts at His birth. This seems more speculative, but there is a theory that He was born on the Feast of Tabernacles, and the Star of Bethlehem DVD talks about the alignment in the stars on the Feast of Trumpets. Is it possible the fall feasts were fulfilled somehow with his birth? I think this gets into Covenant/Preterism/Dispensationalism, and I unfortunately do not understand these concepts well.

Also, the parallel with Antiochus Epiphanes IV and the AOD is interesting. Not sure how this works with the timing of the tribulation, since I think the AOD is at the midpoint... just offering some food for thought for those of you who understand this all better than I do.
