Quick shout out to my youngest son. He is 7 years old and they just won 1st place in his basketball league. He was soooo proud..
What makes this extra rewarding and amazing is the fact that he was born with bi-lateral clubbed feet. Doctors told us that he would never walk, much less run or ever play sports.
I was devastated, heartbroken, and so confused. I just could not fathom that this could be happening to my son. It seemed like something that happens to other people, but I never dreamed it would be a reality for my family.
There was never a time where I was mad at God, but if I am being honest there were many times I would catch myself having pity parties for myself. More times than I care to admit I would find myself "bargaining" with God...Or even questioning , "How could This be happening to My son?"...Yeah, I know..Not my proudest moments.
Fortunately , we serve a God who is bigger than any birth defect. My son runs and moves today with zero hint of him having any foot abnormaility. He is fast
..like fast as the wind...like Forest Gump fast..😀.
And He even was able to use this as a teaching moment for me and my family. Whenever I see my son playing a sport I can't help but thank GOD for delivering my son and working a Miracle on his feet. And I have drilled into my sons head to be thankful for the miracle that God graciously gave him. And thankfully my son is more than happy to share his testimony with anyone who will listan.
So...I am sharing these pics with you today not to brag on my kid, but to hopefully encourage you. And to remind you, that God is sovreign and He is in control. And most important...He loves you!!
Hope everyone has a great day today!!
