Just noticed this introduction thread. I live 70 miles from Houston. Non-denominational. I have been looking for someplace to talk serious about the Bible, and weed through all the fluff out there with Christ's heart knowledgeable believers. I became born-again at 37. Looking back I think I have always talked with God since I was a child, I just did not know who Jesus was. We said prayers at suppertime and all the holiday events. My father sent me to the dictionary to pronounce words correctly, but never encouraged me to open the book right next to it- which was the Bible. My mother always said to have faith, but to her it just meant to think positive she never mentioned Jesus. He has been with me always, it is a shame to admit all the times that he tried to speak to me that I thought I was having conversations in my own head. I wanted The way, the truth, the life! It was not until 37 and my marriage was falling apart(my husband and I were living together but weren't even talking) that I told God I would do whatever he wanted - if He would just make all the hurting stop!!! God told me to quit my job and come home - at a time when I needed my job to prepare for a divorce. I did as he asked and the whole thing turned around I am 52 years old now and my husband and my children all know the Lord, married believers , and have children who talk of Jesus(4,2)! He has blessed me beyond words! I have enjoyed this site, as since we are on the same 'heart page', it doesn't take many words to communicate. I'm tired of reading lengthy articles of man-made thoughts and deductions that clearly have personal motive behind them and lead away from Jesus. Thanks guys!

Wow, Truthseeker, what an amazing testimony! Your experience shows several valuable lessons. One that jumps out to me is that God does indeed call to us before we actually know Him, and He woos us and seeks us even when we don't understand what or who He is. If someone who had experienced God tugging at their heart all those years continued to reject Him, they could not say they had not been warned. That would go for an African jungle native or a desert Bedouin as well.

Yes Jim. God's ways are always just, fair, and loving. It may not seem like it at the time, but if you don't harden your heart over the difficult times, we WILL, one day, see his love for us and others in them. And I know we will be totally grateful.

I am new to this forum. I actually found unsealed on the Internet when I was looking up information about the Rev 12 sign. I have been a student of Bible prophecy now for about 25 years. Bible prophecy can be a great witnessing tool for people. We know that all the past prophecies in the bible have come to pass in 100% accuracy so will the future ones. God has given me this hunger for his word and I am looking forward to sharing and learning information with other like minded believers. Thank you for the informative and encouraging posts. Looking forward to participating in the discussions.

I've been studying and very interested in bible prophecy for almost 25 years but God through the holy spirit has really opened my eyes more just recently. I know that the time we have to witness is very short. I hope and pray that I can do my part as God leads. Thank you so much everyone for the warm welcome!
