It is this spot, that I plan on bringing my family to. Depending on what traffic looks like on the way down, I may be parked at that T in the road where Salem and Poplar meet. That is where God has currently directed me. But I will have to follow his leading as we see what the situation looks like when we are in the area. Anyone from that area? My family of 8 may need a place to stay Monday night. We have made no arrangements. We also plan on baptizing our two youngest that evening. Would love to have some extended "family" to be part of it. I am not in the area either, but maybe there is a KOA Kampground nearby? They are usually fairly cheap, plus the amenities: showers, real bathrooms, et c... |

Questions to the experts on Stellarium and have been keeping a closer eye on the Great sign:
I looked at where the stars will be located when we are at maximum coverage of the sun here in Montana. Jupiter and Spica are very close to the horizon. I would not see Virgo in its entirety.
I am wondering if, at the very center, the very longest totality for our country, where is Virgo? Is it high enough in the sky for people to see it when the sky goes dark?
And, for those in Israel, they are not experiencing an eclipse, yet if we did not have technologies today, how would the experts of sky knowledge KNOW that the Rev 12 sign is there since the sun is it its way?
My post here belongs in two places (Rev 12 being the other place I think...)
anyway, my first question has to do with the visibility of the Rev 12 sign as the eclipse crosses the U.S.

The number 33 has another significance in association with earthquakes. Each main point on the Richter Scale is 33 x more intense than the point below it. So a 7 on the scale is 33 x more intense than a 6 (theoretically).

We are safely back from the eclipse trip and had an awesome view new Murphysboro, IL. I was brought to tears upon witnessing the stunning beauty of it all. I also shed many tears for the hundreds of people we saw watching the eclipse who were completely oblivious to the spiritual moment they were witnessing.
As I stood watching the people I thought of Jesus as he view Jerusalem, wept, and said, "If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation."
How applicable to us today.
