I love that intriguing thought! Many in the Messianic movement believe the two witnesses will be rabbis who have put their faith in Yeshua. I almost always have a tab opened to a live cam of the Wailing Wall. I keep expecting to someday see two men who will be those witnesses. Very exciting times we live in. Hi Evenso! I could see them being messianic rabbis if the rapture doesn't occur pre-trib. However, if it does occur pre-trib, then they'd have to be left behind by special provision by Jesus, which I suppose is possible. Otherwise, they'd have to be rabbis who don't believe yet, but would suddenly be filled with the spirit after the rapture. I still think they will be two Old Testament prophets who come back. But that would be something if they show up right as the new moon is coming out and they spot it. And if we are raptured the next evening, whoa! I don't know how it's going to happen but it'll be awesome however God does it. If the rapture doesn't go 100% unnoticed (I don't see how it could be), then there's a chance that many people will wake up if they witness it themselves. They may be able to pinpoint those who were raptured and their beliefs - and then I bet some will start to take it seriously, or realize their faith was in the wrong thing (like themselves, their church, or their traditions).

Definitely! It's intended to make the Jews jealous, so I don't think God will allow it to be hidden initially behind some mass deception. There will be a lot of people who have heard about it (maybe Harold Camping was useful after all???) and scoffed but will wake up when it finally does occur. At least, that's how I see it going down.

I can't see how the harpazo wouldn't have a massive effect (remorse, repentance) on people who are close to those who are taken. Six degrees of separation applies, I think. The exception being those who are left behind who are envious, or resentful (hardened hearts).

Not, too sure about that ... let me share my reasoning and point out any flaws in it..... Yes, "most rapture movies" -- always have the "Pastor" that was left behind -- and he is always the one used -- "as the information source".... for those left behind..... BUT (and this is just me thinking out loud) What if the "Left Behind 'Christian'" really feels they are a"true Christian" -- it is possible they will deny the disappearances are the rapture -- cause they were not taken -- therefore it cannot be the rapture -- so something else must explain it --- like aliens. Unfortunately -- I KNOW WAY TOO MANY "Christians" (may I call them super-christians) -- that raise the most money, help the most poor, live the purest lives and based on worldly standards they are "good folk" .... but seem to be arrogant and boastful - looking down upon others -- and quite frankly -- do not appear to be that loving of others; (not really judging these individuals just making an observation) -- IF ONE of these super-christians were not part of the rapture -- I could see them claiming it was not the rapture then......
