A comment in another thread got me onto something that was on my heart for awhile. Let's discuss it here so as to not hijack the other thread. Please let me know if I am off-base, this has been brewing in my heart for awhile after a study on the first 4 Seals in Revelation 6 over a year ago (yes the formatting is weird, bear with me):
Edit: I am not dogmatic over these points - these are just some things I see, and throwing them in for discussion.
Six points to consider about Revelation 6, and the horses, specifically "the white horse" (edit: okay, I intended it to be short when I started- it got longer, lol):
1. All of the horses in Rev. 6 are a reference to Zechariah 1:7-11:
7 On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet: 8 I saw by night, and behold, a man riding on a red horse, and it stood among the myrtle trees in the hollow; and behind him were horses: red, sorrel, and white. 9 Then I said, “My lord, what are these?” So the angel who talked with me said to me, “I will show you what they are.”
10 And the man who stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, “These are the ones whom the Lord has sent to walk to and fro throughout the earth.”
11 So they answered the Angel of the Lord, who stood among the myrtle trees, and said, “We have walked to and fro throughout the earth, and behold, all the earth is resting quietly.”
And Zechariah 6:1-8:
6 Then I turned and raised my eyes and looked, and behold, four chariots were coming from between two mountains, and the mountains were mountains of bronze. 2 With the first chariot were red horses, with the second chariot black horses, 3 with the third chariot white horses, and with the fourth chariot dappled horses—strong steeds. 4 Then I answered and said to the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?”
5 And the angel answered and said to me, “These are four spirits of heaven, who go out from their station before the Lord of all the earth. 6 The one with the black horses is going to the north country, the white are going after them, and the dappled are going toward the south country.” 7 Then the strong steeds went out, eager to go, that they might walk to and fro throughout the earth. And He said, “Go, walk to and fro throughout the earth.” So they walked to and fro throughout the earth. 8 And He called to me, and spoke to me, saying, “See, those who go toward the north country have given rest to My Spirit in the north country.”
2. The way Rev. 6:2 is written matches all of the horses, "and I saw a xxx horse, and on it sat xxx...", so it stands to reason that if one horse portrays a human being on earth who is described as a rider, then all 4 must be men. In my opinion there is a hermenutical problem with saying that the white horse describes the A/C (a man) and the other three simply describe events. This is what i think MAY be what these horses symbolize:
The White Horse
3. Something interesting that may not be coincidental: the word for "bow" here is the Greek word "toxon" (Strong's #G5115):
studybible.info/interlinear/Revelation%206
One of the mentions (the very first one) of this word in the Septuagint (which John and the early church used) is in Genesis 9:13-14, to describe God's "bow" in the sky signifying His covenant to no longer destroy the earth with a flood: studybible.info/interlinear/Genesis%209:13-14
And what is the rainbow used for today?
Coincidence? Are we being conquered by leftists using of the Gay Rights Movement as a social and political weapon? Do they promote the the goals of this movement as a path to tolerance, acceptance, and peace for all?
The Red Horse
4. In Revelation 6:4, we read about a red horse who's rider is given "a great sword". This is a tough one, but consider the two Greek words used here:
"Great" = megas "big (literally or figuratively, in a very wide application):—(fear) exceedingly, great(-est), high, large, loud, mighty, (be) sore (afraid), strong"
"Sword" = machaira "a knife, i.e. dirk; figuratively, war, judicial punishment:—sword"
I think this could be taken to mean that the rider has a very loud, large, exceedingly great, fearful weapon, or war, or judgement.
What this sounds like to my 20th century mind:
Or at least:
A nuke is the greatest, most feared weapon on earth, it is the ultimate judgement of one nation on another, and a nuclear war would be exceedingly great.
Now this doesn't necessarily mean that there WILL be a nuclear war (at least from reading Rev. 6:4 by itself), but that some person, nation, or group will get one, and that plays a role in the end times.
The Black Horse
5. In the description of the black horse, the "yoke of scales" or "pair of balances" the rider carries is the Greek word zygos and can also refer to a yoke you put on cattle, it's the context that determines if it's a beast's yoke or a yoke holding a scale. Reading the context in light of 20th century Marxism, it is apparent to me that this is not necessarily referring to scales, but a yoke placed on the people resulting in shortages of food and goods - which is the classic result of Marxism/communism (see Venezuela), which the globalists want to subject us to. The Greek word zygos is metaphorically used "for any burden or bondage, as that of slavery":

BTW, this mural is in the UN Security Council's chambers:
Notice the depiction in the upper left-most corner:
It's people of all nations measuring-out grain. The scales of the black horse are both a yoke of burden and a yoke of economic scales - it is my belief that this refers to global Marxism, which the current ruling powers are eager to enact.
The Green Horse
6. The "pale" horse isn't just "pale" in Greek, it's the word "chloros" (where we get the word "chloroplast" and "chlorophyll", the things that make plants green), and means green or yellowish pale, i.e. the range of color of green grass:
www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=G5515&t=NKJV
Guess what also is white, red, black, and green?
If you add the flag of Hizbollah, which is yellow, it fits perfectly IMO:
Hizbollah OWNS Lebanon, and is a proxy of Iran - BTW it has been recently proven that the inhabitants of Lebanon are the descendants of the biblical Canaanites:

Conclusion
I do not believe that the White Horse of Revelation 6:2 is the Anti-Christ per se. I think they generally refer to the spirits, forces, and resulting events that are present in the world in the beginning of the last days that the Anti-Christ will arrive on.
Here we are today:
1: we have a counterfeit quasi-religion of sorts in the Marxist-Leftist thought that is conquering through the gay rights movement, promising peace, that courts the Muslims while persecuting Jews and Christians where it can (white horse).
2: We are on the brink of another world war through the proliferation of a "great sword/weapon" in a nuclear Iran and North Korea (red horse).
3: We are on the brink where the last 'king' standing in the way of global Marxism is on the brink of failure due to his own character flaws - your opinion may differ on him, but he's been touted as a stick in the eye of global Marxists (black horse).
4: And all this, along with the threat of diseases resistant to treatment, which will be rampant if (when) the results of the other 3 horses are realized (pale/green horse).
I really think we are much farther along than many think.
Thoughts? Please correct me if I am off-base, brothers and sisters.
