tiffanybw...I read it all and agree with you on like 99% of what you wrote especially @#$+?¥€÷√}¢¢∆¶π because that's how most of your posts to sound to me. 😂 I mean that in love the way you meant it about yardstick. The only thing (the 1% disagreement) I have to "correct" you on is SK's reason for leaving was not due to hurt feelings.

I'm hoping this might be helpful to the discussion!
Here's a screenshot of the Hebrew calendar for 33 AD (Source: TorahCalendar.com, 2008-2017, www.torahcalendar.com/Calendar.asp?YM=Y33M1)
I know that John 12:1 tells us, "Six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus lived, whom Jesus had raised from the dead." Six days before appears to be Nisan 8, regardless of which year the crucifixion actually took place.
John 12:12-13 then tells us, "The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. They took palm branches and went out to meet him..." Unless perhaps an extra day was spent at Bethany that wasn't mentioned by John, it appears that would be Nisan 9, which was a Sunday in the year 33 AD.
I would suggest that Nisan 10 had to do with the questioning of Jesus by the religious leaders in Luke 20 and Matthew 21-22. They tried to find a way to trap Him--tried to find a blemish in Him--but were unable to do so. It was like the examining of the Passover lamb to be sure it was perfect for the sacrifice. Try plotting your info on a 31AD calendar. What does it look like?

From now on, I am going to call you "Leonard" and I am going to call Yardstick "Sheldon". (If you don't get it: I used to love watching this tv show called The Big Bang Theory. The first few seasons were so funny! And I seriously had a little crush on Sheldon there for a while! If you've ever seen it, you and yardstick remind me of them. It's still on air I think, but the newer episodes are awful and I haven't watched it for a few years now. Occasionally when the reruns are on I'll watch if it's a good episode.) Uh oh! Wait Leonard! Let me translate for you what I've just written (and for you too Sheldon): @#$%%^&&*(@)!@#$%(*^%#!@#$(*&%$#$% + !@#$*&^%@#$^&*(*&^) = I HAVE NO IDEA. But, I'm pretty sure y'all do!

tiffanybw *drops the mic*. Praise God for the heart! I'm speechless. It's not often I have that problem. Unless someone does this to me: Seriously though, thank you. I took yardstick's... oops... Sheldon's, personality test from the other thread. It was so cool because I think that test is actually pretty accurate. I think it would be a good idea to copy and paste a portion of what yardstick wrote explaining the test (not the entire thing but just the part that explains the test), and then to put it in a thread in the whatever section. Then we should all post our results! I really do think it would help us to understand each other better. And, even though there will still be sin, just that we will have a better idea of each other's personalities and we can all try and accommodate.

*rips tape from mouth* Heh, heh, heh! Next time, don't forget to tie my hands!Ahhhh! I can breathe again. yardstick, I learned yesterday, all by myself I might add, how to make names turn blue in the posts. Im so excited!!! Typing all those symbols to try and communicate with you proved useful as this symbol "@" can make names turn blue! mike, I didn't realize you are a bully (mental note made to hide my lunch money from mike). I thought that you were a brain like yardstick. I should have known, with all that "ya nerd" talk. So, no choice but to change your name. I hereby bestow you "Biff", a la Back to the Future.

Lol tiffanybw , you are funny sistah! On a very personal note, please dont ever compare me to yardstick , not only is he a geek, but he's is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy smarter than me. Seriously YS your analysis on things helps me learn although I do not fully grasp much of what you write. I literally read through the "Calculating the number of the beast" thread twice and still dont get it. But I'll shoot over and try once more then ask questions. Tiff the comparison to Biff is classic...that was me in grammar & high school. OK maybe after that too without the "nuggies"(sp?).

Tiff the comparison to Biff is classic...that was me in grammar & high school. OK maybe after that too without the "nuggies"(sp?). I love y'all! Each and every person here. And I'm so HAPPY that Silentknight is back! Now gotta work on Cage. And also, if we can just get better emoji's to choose from! I agree with you about yardstick . Some of what he posts, I completely do understand and "get it". Some though, I try really hard, but I fail (I do understand better though, than before I read what he posts). And so, I thank God for him because He is such a valuable part of Christ's Body. It's so amazing, how we all are. It will be so amazing once that thorn is removed from us! Actually, you remind me of my husband. There was one thread you told a story in, about when you first started "waking up", and seeking Jesus. It was about your daughter clogging up the toilet and how there was poop and water all over the place and you yelled at your daughter. That SAME EXACT THING happened with Eric (husband) and Liam (son). Liam... I don't know what it is about him, but he has always been a toilet clogger. There was a time where I guess he kept on trying to flush and flush but that toilet was CLOGGED and so what happened is water and poo... everywhere! Eric, he LOST IT. Because what happened, I think that Liam was just embarrassed and so he just left the bathroom and didn't say anything and then water started dripping from ceiling (we had to replace drywall, repaint, and all that good stuff). The same happened, Eric was yelling and cursing. And then that caused for me to intervene and I told Eric to stop it now; and we then got into an argument. And eventually, just that it really hit Eric how horrible he had been. And he apologized to Liam (he was maybe 11 at the time). Eric, he truly is such a good husband and a good father and he does so much for us! His initial reaction when it comes to everything though, is to yell and he gets upset and frustrated so so easily. Especially when there is a situation that he can't "be the man", and "fix". What he doesn't get, is sometimes, it's not about fixing the problem. Sometimes, there is no fixing the problem. Sometimes, it is just about being there, listening, comforting. So, it's pretty great! Because me and Eric complement each other in that way. I'm horrible with all the logical stuff and the problem fixing. But I'm great at the listening part, and the comforting part. As hard as life can be, just that it can be also so wonderful; when we just look to Jesus first; follow Him first. *hugs to everyone here*

Seriously YS your analysis on things helps me learn although I do not fully grasp much of what you write. Tiff the comparison to Biff is classic...that was me in grammar & high school. OK maybe after that too without the "nuggies"(sp?). er... Thanks... Basically I was curious about why the author said the wise could calculate the number. I understood that to mean it was encoded somehow. I have seen attempts to 'translate' the number to something meaningful before. They do not seem to make much sense. I started with the greek, came up with nothing, and then 'stumbled upon' the relationship between greek and phoenician. I think the older a language gets, the more 'pictographic' it gets. I also think it gets closer to the truth. The more exposure to other cultures a culture has, the more the language changes. That is why Chinese and Japanese have hardly changed in thousands of years. But modern english is substantially different than old english. Pictographic letters represent more than one thing. English letter T means only one thing. But the phoenician T, depending on context, can mean 3 different things! Older languages are much more compact. They convey much more nuance. Latin is a prime example. "Veni, Vedi, Veci" is only three words in latin, but to say the same thing in english, takes 6 words: "I came, I saw, I conquered". The latin has 12 letters, but english has 19 letters... "Semper" is translated in english about 6 different ways: Forever, Always, Endless, Eternal, Everlasting, and Perpetual (my favorite). I am sure there are more because there are so many synonyms in English. But in Latin, the context of the sentence defines the nuance of the word. English requires the use of synonyms (different words, not variants on the same word) to convey nuances. Less so, syntax. So even though greek is very old, already it has lost some of the letters' meanings. I couldnt find unique meanings for several of the letters. Then hit upon looking at the phoenician parent language. Phoenician is much older than greek. About the same age as hebrew. Hebrew letters have phonic use, numerical use, and pictographic use as well (each letter represents a word - has a definition). Same for phoenician. Sorry to derail the thread.
