I sense that too...
Rev. 3:8: "I know that you have little strength..."
The Church will not ultimately fail in its mission, but as the time draws near for our departure, I think perhaps it might FEEL like we are failing/powerless/weak/fill in the blank. Reminds me of the parable of the wheat and tares (Mt. 13:24-30). "Let both [the wheat and tares] grow together until the harvest." Only then can the separation occur.
It does seem increasingly difficult to power through these remaining years/months/weeks. I see most people allured by politics and focused on an earthly solution. Meanwhile, Jesus is at the door and we know what Scripture says about times waxing worse and worse until the end. Just as Jesus had to suffer before He saw the light of life, so too must the world face profound darkness before it can be regenerated. But most are uncomfortable with this notion, even in the Church, and assume we can fix things now. That was never the goal of the Church in the present dispensation (to fix things); rather, the goal was always to share the Gospel and make disciples with everyone, in all nations, in preparation for the Kingdom and all that entails. Things get fixed in the Millennium and subsequent eternal state.

Yes Gary, I agree. The darkness is growing stronger and bolder at unprecedented speed it seems. I keep reminding my husband that scripture has warned us of these days, and that we shouldn't be surprised by what we are witnessing. Still...it is difficult to watch the demise of our nation, our culture, our churches, our relationships, our politics. Every facet of life seems to be affected by the growing darkness. It is so important to stand firm and let our light shine amidst it all. But I find much resistance to God's truth, even among so called believers. They aren't interested in talking about God and His word, they just want to be left alone. Everyone just seems so preoccupied and distracted by busy-ness or whatever crisis is going on in the world or in their personal lives. It is frustrating to me that even they who are called by His name are disinterested.

It has been some time since I have posted here. I just read through the whole thread, it always amazes me that I even wrote it! The Pandemic came and went, with rumors of more on the way, and wars and rumors of wars continue to occupy the world stage. The WEF has risen in influence along with other dark forces. How about the crazy pagan olympic opening and closing ceremonies this summer? All the "died suddenly" headlines that don't seem to phase the masses. The love of many grows colder by the day as well, and the world financial system hangs by a thread! And let's not even talk about the state of the local Church! There sure is a lot going on. More like the Satanic Olympics. Like they were trying to defile the Last Supper. But why? What does that have to do with sports? Maybe it will be their last supper. And then they got a power failure right after that.
The great city was plunged into darkness. But they cursed the God of heaven because of their pain and their sores and would not repent of their deeds.
All this to say, it seems that we are so very close to Christ's return. How bad will things get before He gathers us to Himself? I have no Idea. It is all so very discouraging, and I have a hard time overcoming that discouragemen at times. So I resort to unplugging. I agree we're very close to Christ's return. That's the thing to keep our focus on and be excited about. So I'm not worried about churches. I don't go to church. I think I was Baptized in one many years ago as a baby, there maybe is a picture of it somewhere around here. I don't think I looked too happy about it then, and I haven't been in a church since. I just rest and stay in my place on the Sabbath. I think the church era is over. The Gospel has been preached to all the nations, we have been living in the end which has come. Jesus's Two Witnesses have taken the ball and picked up the slack. The inner court is measured. We are in the night when no man can work. I think the second coming can begin any minute now. The sudden destruction, the one will be taken, the no flesh saved alive and the great winepress type of tribulation might all compress into a quick span of 40 days. Like the days of Noah. The Pre Trib People will not be disappointed. We are not appointed to wrath. I see the Halloween candy out at the store, I wonder if we make it that far. It's tough to speculate specifically how it will happen, easier to say when it will happen. CJ Lovit thinks the rapture is this year in October. He thinks Daniel's 70th week begins this year on the Day of Atonement. I think we're closing in on the actual end of the 70th week, not the beginning of it. I think CJ is correct about the week and the year of the Crucifixion, so I do keep a serious eye on his work. Peaceful Sabbath.
