Isn't the building of a temple or even tent of meeting (which is what was instructed, not the temple) another possible sign? Stormy I don't think that it will hasten anything as the appointed date is already set. Just another nugget for us to see
Agree Mike. Though I recognize some here believe that a literal third temple has to come, I do not nor do I believe that is what the text says. The date is set and were told to watch for specific signs. A rebuilt temple was never listed as one.
Hello Fellow Watchmen, I am very fascinated by the topic of the third temple, and how this is a huge piece of the eschatological puzzle.
Venge, - not to argue or attack - please don't hear/ feel that. I just don't see how anyone can see this as not a physical/ literal temple.
From what I've read and seen by other watchmen on here, - no one is adamant that it has to be a permanent brick and mortar structure, like the 1st and 2nd Temple. [Maybe I'm wrong]
I only bring this up, because I keep seeing it clouding the discussion.
It could be a portable structure, [like the tabernacle before the temple was built] and another thought is that it could be a brick and mortar / actual building, but a temporary one, not in the final location.
Two points I want to make here.
1. The issue is not about it being a tent, or portable tabernacle, but rather it's a place where Jews can re-institute the sacrifices again. This is how close we are brothers and sisters.
In 2018 there was a full sacrifice, killing of the lamb by the priests according to the OT law, - exactly like it was on Passover, complete with an alter, done on the temple mount.
*** This is huge, in that it was the first time this happened since the Temple was destroyed in 70 AD. It was done a few days before Passover - a re-enactment, if you will.
The Temple institute has all the real, literal, physical instruments - laver, tools for the sacrifice, all made precisely to the exact Biblical mandate. They have the real, physical pure gold menorah to be used by real priests, with all the garments, with a real lamb, in the real temple - real tent or real building. How can anyone think that somehow the temple is symbolic.
2. I didn't catch your point about how the temple is not a sign we were commended to look for? Could you clarify, Venge, or anyone? Again, I'm not trying to argue or attack. There are many pieces that are part of the eschatological puzzle which we are working, sharing and learning, which are signs, but not commanded to watch for them. The examples are too many to even mention. but one of the more notable ones, which has caught a lot of attention and continues to generate a lot of buzz is the so-called Revelation 12 sign.
No where were we commanded to watch for it. This has nothing to do with making it any less or any more significant as a sign or it's eschatological significance. I think it was a prophecy, there was a clear sign in the heavens, that matched at least part of the verse with great precision, and which has not happened in more than 2000 years. People extrapolated all kinds of numbers before and after, and made guesses about it's connection to the rapture.
I think it was indeed a sign - but rather a lot like a "Watch for Falling Rocks" sign in the middle of Kansas. It didn't happen on a Jewish feast day, and it's been more than 2 years, and it came and went. It doesn't make much sense to put the Falling rocks sign for Colorado hundreds of miles, five states away - and expect people to watch out. In the same way, they put the sign of the restaurants on the interstate near the next exits, not a N-&-Out Burgers sign in Tennessee for a restaurant in Ohio.
Mike, you hit it out of the park with your comment about the "Appointed Time". Interesting word choice - because the Hebrew word for the Feasts is "Moadim", -literally Appointed Times, and Daniel uses the exact same word in multiple prophesies about the end.
I've said it before, in another thread, but the Temple is not for Gentiles/ Christians anyway, so it doesn't matter how we see it or that we know that our body is a Temple.
Scripture says that their eyes are blinded.
They don't accept the New Testament, but Paul said that the Feasts are a Sign of things to come. 
Let's look at the birth analogy for the Second Advent [Rapture, Tribulation and Second Coming] Scripture says of Jesus Birth that it happened at the appointed time [Understand Feast] Hmmm.
When the pregnancy is 2 months along, we can't yet tell the gender of the baby. For a man to say to the mother Hannah, or Susan, "I want to encourage you, Hannah/ Susan, it could be any minute" - the mother thinks - This guy is an idiot.
Hannah already has 3 children, and knows full well that there are very specific markers that indicate that the timing is near - Contractions, and water breaking.
When my wife first had contractions, they were several hours apart. This means, we are talking days. The said in the birthing class , that you could take a 5 hour drive to Atlanta, have a long dinner at restaurant, stay over night and have a long 5 hour drive back.
As JD Farag said, when the contractions begin, they increase in frequency and in intensity. When the contractions are 4 minutes apart, go to the Hospital. We did this, and then at the Hospital, my wife still had 18 hours of labor.
When the water breaks, - this is another very specific sign. Now, it's not hours, or days, but minutes. At this point, the birth is imminent. Different signs at different intervals, telling the mother greater level of urgency/ nearness.
The fact that we have seen the alliance of Turkey, Iran and Russia is a fulfillment of 2000 year old prophecy.
The fact that we have multiple inside sources confirming all the plans for the 3rd temple are in place.
All the tools are in place, - the priests are trained, and we have Rabbi's that have confirmed they have red heifers, 2 years old with no white hairs.
They have done a Passover sacrifice, on the temple mount.
We are in the 70 - 80 year window of Israel becoming a nation.
USA first nation to officially declare Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and move the embassy.
Damascus is on the cusp of a ruinous heap, and three prominent Jews [Two being Jared Kushner and Jason Greenblat have drafted the Deal of the Century] and AI, microchips in use in the US are all collective signs that don't mean much in isolation - [Like a Falling Rocks sign in Kansas.]
Taken together, along with many other signs such as the Revelation 12, earthquakes in diverse places, etc, etc, etc, all converge to mean we are in contractions.
I would be thrilled to see ground breaking, some actual location announced for the re-building of the 3rd temple !!!! I don't worship there, nor do I think it has power to forgive, and we have direct access to God. - the Veil was torn - Passover was fulfilled.
To those of us watching, it means we move from contractions to water breaking. ;-) Why, because at this point, we have a literal day count. Without a structure - temporary or permanent, there will be no sacrifices.
No Temple, no sacrifices.
No Sacrifices, no Abomination of Desolation at the midpoint. No Anti-Christ revealed.
If we see ground breaking, or a tent go up, -- It's a game changer. It means we have a day count. If we see two guys in Jerusalem who breathe out fire, and it's not a dinner show, it means we have a day count.
*** Of course it would also mean that all the Pre-Tribulation people, recalibrate our views.
***It's another strong reason for the Pre-Tribulation rapture. If a Ginormous Mega Quake rocks Israel, and we see WW III, then people can count the exact number of days to the midpoint and to the endpoint.
