Another way of saying it would be abomination of destruction, as desolations are referring to destruction. Wings of abomination are meaning the abomination is widespread, all around.

“Daily sacrifices cease at the AOD, so for the AOD to occur, the daily sacrifices must resume...”
I think I may have misunderstood you where it’s bold font above. You are stating the AOD must occur to stop the proposed future daily sacrifices?
What would be an abomination in a man made temple?

Daily sacrifices cease at the AOD, so for the AOD to occur, the daily sacrifices must resume... For the daily sacrifices to resume, the Jews must perform the ceremony of the Red Heifer to cleanse the Holy Place.... A candidate for the Red Heifer was born in Israel in August 2018, but now there are several more candidates..... The Jews have moved up the date that defines a heifer from 3 to 2 years.....targeting 2020-2021 The ceremony of the Red Heifer in 2020-2021 fits the hypothesis of the 70th week from 2017-2024.... My radar is on high alert for the following: - Saudi "cause to strengthen covenant" as in the fall of 2017 - The red heifer ceremony, followed by resumption of daily sacrifices overseen by the Sanhedrin - Food pressure from now through 2020 www.breakingisraelnews.com/tag/red-heifer/Why would sacrifices ceasing be an abomination? Abomination to who?

What if the 3.5 years have nothing to do with the 70th week timeframe?!?
Has that ever been studied or pondered on? By anyone? Whhhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyy does the 70th have to seem unfulfilled to make Revelations 42 months make sense?
WHAT IF
these time periods have nothing to do with one another..... 🤭🤫🤔😲😮😵😪😦😶😐🤕🥵😳😱😕😏🤨
Um, because it’s s time, time and half which mimics Daniel That spoke of the 70th week? That’s why? I apologize for my slow responses. I am in the mountains in Tennessee on vacation until tomorrow and internet access is spotty at best. Where I am staying has “WiFi” that does nothing but freeze up lol. Not complaining, it has been a wonderful time and the scenery is beautiful. Every ounce of me wants to live here. It’s hot, beautiful, the people are friendly and God is mentioned and loved everywhere. Not like back in Michigan which is so hustle and bustle all the time and any mention of God is hard to come by. For those who want to to visit a tourist attraction here? Sure thing but it is also filled with scriptures, Jesus, and plenty of people who will tell you God is so good, even after over half the area burning down a few years ago, God is good because he blessed this area even more more after so much loss and has made it even better. Thats what the locals say anyways. This place is busier than I have ever seen it, and have been visiting for over 15 years. That is Gods specialty imho, to make things better than they were before.
Back on topic however, venge . I like you Venge and your ability step outside of the box and analyze, seek scriptures and most importantly seek God. You don’t stick to popular theology and mainstream understanding. You bring out the big guns 💪 The truth is offensive, it pierces to the bone and turns most away. Most would rather seek what is comfortable and requires the least amount of discomfort and suffering. I need you to do that with my post. Why? Because very few do. Most go to this or that popular ends time specialists or professional who line their pockets with sharing all their college earned “knowledge and wisdom.” Most people I have worked with who rely solely on their education and knowledge in any field but lack experience in working the actual field are completely lost when they are put into the real deal. Skill and experience goes a very very long way. My questions are not easy. They are also not foolish or in vain. They are honest, deep and require seeking, prayer and thoughts. Too long has majority of the church blindly followed the popular opinions and teachings because they are taught by the “professionals and specialists.” <<<<<<<EDITING TO CLARIFY FROM ORIGINALLY QUICKLY TYPING THIS RESPONSE AND NOT PROOF READING IT VERY WELL. THIS IS NOT DIRECTED AT ANYONE AT THIS SITE OR THE FORUM ITSELF. IT IS A VERY VERY BROAD STATEMENT IN REGARDS TO SEEKING MANS TEACHINGS MORE THAN GODS AND THAT ANY AND ALL OF US NEED TO BE DILIGENT TO SEEK SCRIPTURES FOR OURSELVES. IF ANYTHING IT IS A BIT OF A PLEAD AND REMINDER TO PLEASE USE CAUTION AND QUESTION ANYTHING WITH SCRIPTURES. I do believe barbiosheepgirl pulled out a pair of Tommy guns up there as far as big guns go and deserves some respectable responses and opinions from anyone who would like to take the time to do so.

More? Ok so the 70th week is done. Ok, what's on Netflix …..I'm bored. Wait, what about the 3.5 years in Revelation? If the 70th week is done, why is that part left..... Boy, I am going to be in big trouble but I have to say this, Morning Star is like a title or designation or symbol. Meaning its the brightest star in the morning, the most glorious, etc. The Evil One used to have that title and position in the Lord's Heaven long ago til the day of the incoming Great War in Heaven that the Evil One will be casted out. Jesus said that in Bible that the Evil One long ago was very wise, handsome, powerful, etc. Til jealousy of God's glory, beauty, power, etc overcame the Evil One's heart. Ezekiel 28:11-19
11 Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
12 “Son of man, take up a lament for the king of Tyre and tell him that this is what the Lord GOD says: “‘You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
13 You were in Eden,the garden of God; every precious stone adorned you: carnelian, chrysolite and emerald, topaz, onyx and jasper, lapis lazuli, turquoise and beryl. Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared.
14 You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones.
15 You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you.
16 Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones.
17 Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings.
18 By your many sins and dishonest trade you have desecrated your sanctuaries. So I made a fire come out from you, and it consumed you, and I reduced you to ashes on the ground in the sight of all who were watching.
19 All the nations who knew you are appalled at you; you have come to a horrible end and will be no more.’”
The Evil One was guiding the King of Babylon or taken over the mind, I am not sure yet as I haven't anaylze thoroughly yet. And he is up in the Heaven all day and night accusing all of us as indicated by this, Revelation 12:10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.And I have this theory that Peter was leaning on his understanding instead of trusting in the Lord completely, the Evil One was sly, suggesting, manipulating Peter's reasoning and emotions and logic to rebel against the Lord and to break up the movement. By the way, I have seen this tactic working very efficiently in churches. I am reminded of this,
Ephesians 6:12
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.That is why we all need to trust completely in the Lord, even things doesn't makes sense, we have to remember this,
Isaiah 55:8-9
8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.You quoted Ezekiel and verse 12 states the King of Tyre, not the devil. There are no commentaries that I have found that say it is the devil. biblehub.com/commentaries/ezekiel/28-1.htmI am of the same opinion on this venge. It certainly does not say it is the devil and is not referring at it either, but a part that is of the devil, pride. For anyone who is interested, the word Lucifer is Latin and was used in the Latin Vulgate translation. Lucifer is the Latin translation for bright or morning star. Some translations say King of Tyre and some say King of Babylon. It is talking about Nebuchadnezzar and his fall to becoming insane and like an animal when he was loving and priding himself and all he had achieved one day on his castle after the Lord had warned him to basically get over himself. The theology behind this being the devil and describing his fall from heaven is really really doing some language somersaults in this passage. Some food for thought, when it is referencing to this part: "13 You were in Eden,the garden of God; every precious stone adorned you: carnelian, chrysolite and emerald, topaz, onyx and jasper, lapis lazuli, turquoise and beryl.
So I made a fire come out from you, and it consumed you, and I reduced you to ashes on the ground
in the sight of all who were watching. " <<<< Two verses here that talk about trade among the nations and kingdoms, which Babylon was the hub of at it's time. Why would the devil have anything to do with trade? All of this is taught as referencing and in a non direct way of describing the devil, but no one ever explains the part about sinning with trade through violence, which the kings of that time did all the time, not the Devil. This is a very poetic allegory for a personality trait or behavior, not solely an individual. It is a trait of Satan and us humans. It was there in the beginning and the cause for our fall. It is the root behind all disobedience and sin. It was the driving factor behind Adam and Eve eating the fruit and reason we fall into temptation. It was the reason the Kings of Babylon fell and led to their behavior and sins. Their mindset as being untouchable and on top of the world, which is far more poetically described above by Ezekiel. "On top of the World" would be in the heavens at the level of God. These scriptures are describing and talking about pride and it's influence on us, our behavior, and character.
God has sent lying Spirits when needed (to the prophets to purposely lie in the OT), and that was HIS lying spirit to send. What if there is a spirit of Pride? Not stating as fact, just something to think about. All spirits belong to God, and that He has stated himself.
The Kings of Babylon demanded worship of themselves because they thought of themselves as a god. They both played an important purpose in Gods plan with the Jews, and were placed into their Kingdoms by God, which is explained to King Nebuchadnezzar in the book of Daniel after God lets him be sane again.
I have brought this up in other threads and will state it here. We give the devil way too much credit on his abilities and what he does. It is easier to place all the bad stuff and blame on him, when really we are just as capable of it ourselves. He TEMPTS our egos and pride that are already present to be tempted and he knows this. God created Satan, and his name means accuser and he created him for a purpose. These scriptures are not describing his fall from God, but what God does to pride. He brings it to the dust of the ground in the form of ashes because He is a consuming and refining fire.
Jesus was calling Peter Satan, not casting Satan out of him. Anyone who favors their own desires and ways over Gods is doing exactly what Jesus told Peter he was doing. He placed his own personal feelings and thoughts above Gods plan to save the entire world. While innocent on the surface, it was also vert selfish of Peter, and Jesus called him out on it.

What did the terrible suffering, agony, pain, and finally death of Jesus accomplish by dying on the cross? I do not ask this just for myself, but for discussion from everyone else if you feel like joining in.
What was finished exactly?
What was fulfilled?
What was achieved and completed by this most unselfish acts of love to ever be displayed and witnessed?
Who was this done for?
What exactly is the gospel, because it was being preached and taught before Jesus was crucified? The good news was being spread by the apostles.
What are we to do now that Christ was crucified and rose from the dead?
What is salvation and how did the death of Jesus allow this to be gifted for the world by dying on the cross?
What are the consequences of sin?

Just picking at old Venges brain a little here. At least whats left of it How are you sleeping and having time to share thoughts with us man, wow? babys good too? So if I follow your prior posts on the subject with the 'mark' not necessarily being a required to be a visible thing, would you say that its possible to be visible and spiritual at the same time? The top 10 you listed are significantly spiritual (and troubling, but expected as the day draws nearer), but some of that could be physical too, no? Just trying to sort through what you posed and what we've all been taught for years and years that the mark would HAVE TO be a computer chip of sorts. With the tech we have in place today its not beyond doubt that a mark could have some physical application in addition to spiritual. Like #8, in order to track all that the 'system' of tech would have do that via information in databases, etc. Hope youre awake enough to follow my random thoughts on this. Sometimes I just have two minutes to write this stuff and it doesnt always come out the way it is in my head - YIKES! Mike I’m sucking down A&W root beer atm for my sugar fix. Yeah, I’m tired. Kids are killing me and my daughter visited the principal yesterday cause she was bad. I’m at work so I’m replying to quick stuff that doesn’t require me to sift through biblical scripture to post. Can the mark be physical? Of course it could be. I don’t know the future so I have to concede and say yes. Do I feel it is, No. I was taught the microchip too and the bar code lol. Why do people look for things that they need to see with their eyes? Can’t we see it with knowing right from wrong? We should be able to as Christians. All the sins come from the heart. Christ taught that. I look at the heart, the fruit of man. I’m not looking at the creation, I’m looking at the created that wishes to be the creator! When I studied the mark, I came across it as a numerous assemblage of mankind. Something people love so much, it becomes their idol. It’s like Lot’s wife looking back at the city and missing it. Her heart was in that wicked place. Was she marked? We’re the sodomites marked? We’re the Assyrians marked? Egyptians? Each desolator was crushed by God. Each was guilty of wickedness seen in Mystery Babylon. As I pointed out, if China can say you are a Christian and you are not authorized to read the true bible. Your going to jail and the Bible is to be destroyed. Because you broke the law, you lower your social score. By that, you cannot buy tickets to planes, buses, etc, you can’t travel, you can’t buy a house, you can’t get a loan etc But....if you obey us and follow us and give up your version of faith, you can be a good citizen in China and buy and sell anything you want. It’s downright scary. Amen Venge on your statements in regards to the status of our hearts. To me and this isn’t directed at anyone in particular and is just a general statement, but I think the majority of the physical things are sought after and understood as far as biblical understanding goes is because noone wants to look at their heart or the hearts of mankind. No one wants to admit that basically, our pride has essentially always been the problem and manifest into many different types of wickedness and evil. In my understanding, research, prayer and looking into different teachings, we always seems to create a physical scapegoat of sorts to peg some of the uncomfortable and misunderstood parts of the Bible on instead of realizing and seeing that it is referring to man, his pride, and the evil that comes from within us. Like for instance and I am sure I am going to get some slack for this, but looking and watching for a physical temple to be built, when that may not be what is being referred to at all in regards to certain verses in the NT about the man of sin or lawlessness. Another physical only understanding by much of what we have been taught is the Antichrist being a human incarceration of Satan who is going to control the world at some point and bring hell on earth by force and control everyone. Do I believe we can be influenced by evil spirits and forces? Certainly for both believers and non believers. Do I think Satan is going to somehow posses a person for an extended point of time basically making himself godlike? Is he waiting for that one perfect leader to come to power who will do the deed just right? No, I do not think that because we humans can do that sort of damage all on our own without some super Satan possed human to lead the way. We give Satan way to much credit sometimes and it’s easier to peg the blame and evil on him than admit what we as humans are capable of on our own. I have touched on this before in another post in the past regarding how the language is being used in Thessalonians by Paul in regards to the man of sin. There is a Greek word for man as in a singular man with male reproductive parts (probably could have phrased that better, sorry on my phone and short on time lol) and then there is a neuter word that refers to man as mankind. Paul uses the neuter word and from the Hebrew language and it is the transliteration of Adam (man/mankind). However according to much of what most of us have been taught, including myself, it is assumed these verses are referencing to the Satan incarnate Antichrist and will exalt himself above God and all that is godly in the physical temple in Jerusalem. Some say he will claim to be the messiah and or Jesus. That is a lot of speculation however because nowhere in scriptures is that stated. If someone in all seriousness sat in a newly built third Jewish temple where they will blasphemously sacrifice animals so they can atone for their sins and continue to rely on and believe in their own religion and this person states they were the Messiah, only the Jews would care and it would not insult God in the way it is portrayed that it will. The physical temple is not Holy. We are the temple that Jesus raised up in three days. The Jews continue to look today for the same Messiah just as they did 2000 years ago, which is essentially a warlord. Someone claiming themselves as God, Jesus or whatever isn't anything new under the sun. But for some reason doing this act in a Jewish temple makes it the pinnacle of lawlessness? People claim to be a god or Jesus/Messiah all throughout history since Jesus walked this earth. I am pretty sure we have at around a dozen “Messiahs/Jesus” walking around today. Some of them even have very large followings, even in the thousands. So because they aren’t claiming to be god/Messiah in a Jewish temple it’s not exalting oneself over God enough in a blasphemous manner? I ask out of curiosity and clarification. The man of sin/lawlessness quite possibly isn’t going to be revealed by placing himself in a Jewish temple and calling himself God as some super appointed ruler. Our pride is the source of our sin and lawlessness, and it was there from the very beginning. Pride is was what prompted Eve and then Adam into taking a bite of the forbidden fruit. Satan essentially told them by temptation that they could be just like God if they took from the tree. To live forever like God and not die. To be as knowledgeable and wise as God. Our pride is the root of our lawlessness and the reason for the fall to sin. Our sin sits inside all of us and comes from the heart for both believers and non believers. God states he has written his law in all of our hearts. A non believer knows right from wrong. But our pride is the driving force behind our sin. Pride makes us think we can lie and get away with it, steal something that isn’t ours, take advantage of someone and get away with it, or cheat on a loved one and not get caught. When someone does these type of things we are exalting our own selfish desires, power, and greed over whoever is being hurt or sinned against. We do the same with God by disregarding his law written in our hearts and following our own desires and idols. Trying to constantly be and do good, when there is only one who is good, trying to have more or enough faith, when there is only one that faith comes from, trying to win and secure His love, when He is the source of all love. It is like a child guaranteeing and securing his parents love for him by being on his best behavior and only doing good things. But it doesn’t work that way, parents love their children before they are even born and no matter what. There is nothing a child can do more of to win their parents love. The same is true for God and it is our pride to feel like we have to win Him over and try to convince Him we believe enough to ensure or secure our salvation. To show Him we believe enough. There is a drive for us to always DO something to prove our beliefs and faith to God and that source is pride. Now for clarification, I am not saying go do whatever you want or to quit trying to be a better human being. Let the love of Jesus been seen by others through us. As far as the mark of the beasts damning people for eternity. Let’s take a look at scriptures: •2So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and harmful and painful sores came upon the people who bore the mark of the beast and worshiped its image.• ^^^^ Most of Revelation was seen and experienced by John while he was in the SPIRIT, not literally seeing and experiencing the Revelation of Jesus. It is a book of visions, allegory and metaphors. There isn’t a way to pick and choose what is literal and isn’t and unfortunately a whole lot of book and dvd sales have been made doing just that. The sores are representing filth and misery that comes upon someone who takes the mark of the beast. If a single mom has to feed her children whose deadbeat dad is nowhere to be found and the only way to do that is to take the mark that is controlled by the one world Antichrist ruler, what would getting literal sores do as a punishment to her? It would Make her even more unable to care for her children that’s for sure. Gods judgement is for correction, not utter destruction. The word that John used for image in the image of the beast, is the same Greek word that Jesus used to describe Caesars IMAGE on the coin that he used as an example when asked about paying taxes. The Jews asked him if they should be paying taxes and to who, and he asked them whose IMAGE was on their currency. Since they used, earned and bought with the Romans currency, Jesus told them to pay the taxes. The beast is identified by the angel to John as having the number of man (as in mankind not a singular male) and now there is an image of this beast created by mankind and people worship this image and take its mark. It’s representative of money and all the systems that are tied to it. Banks and kingdoms have turned trading and giving money into a form of slavery. Debt is slavery. If you have ever been in Financial distress you feel helpless, trapped, used and emotionally beat up. It’s painful and miserable and felt throughout your entire body and soul. Lots of people curse God for their financial situations. People worship money and material things bought with money. It destroys relationships, families, and friendships. People gamble their entire lives away at maybe someday winning some money. It causes people to act in ways that they normally wouldn’t if they didn’t worship money. People leave their families and loved ones helpless and suffering by hoarding their money and things to themselves instead of being generous and kind. Corporations and governments take advantage of people so they can get more money for themselves. What is the goal of selling drugs, trafficking children and women for sex, creating and selling porn? To make money and more and more money. Governments kill over it. People rob, murder, and plunder for it. People fill their homes to the point of literally bursting or collapsing by hoarding and obsessing over material things bought with money. Hoarding is a sickness and causes misery for all involved. A hoarder is always unsatisfied and miserable. Money causes all kinds of pain and misery that plagues those who worship it and even those affected by those who worship it like the Black Plague. The beast that this image is made from is a beast that Lords over and controls humanity and its image is the way this is accomplished. It’s a beast system created by mankind. No one can do anything without money and having an identification number tied to them and a credit score that dictates even what your utilities and car insurance rates will be. Crappy credit caused from huge medical bills that couldn’t be helped and were too big to pay up front now cause you to pay out the nose for necessities, like vehicle insurance and gas to heat your home. The mark isn’t coming, it’s already here and has been for a long time. Hospitals and medical insurance companies disgustingly take advantage of people and often in working together on it for, you guessed it, more money! People are refused proper medical treatment because insurance companies deem it unnecessary due to the supposed cost. Medications are dropped from coverage all the time. The companies who make the medicines and now have a newly appointed ceo of this company, decides to do a 1000% mark up for maximum profits. For example, the company that makes epipens did something like this. My daughter has a severe peanut and egg allergy and we have to have an epipen on us and wherever she goes at all times. Her pediatrician wants her to always have two sets of pens, one at home and one for travels or a back up. Can’t do that however because the insurance will only cover one set due to the extreme cost. This puts her at a huge risk. If we were to pay out of pocket for the extra pen, it is in the thousands of dollars and has to be refilled every year. For clarification, having money and monetary systems such as investments and similar is not bad or evil. Lots of people with money are very generous and giving. It’s when the system consumes individuals or governments, companies and it is worshipped over everything else. When worshiped and obsessed over, money is the root of all evil. It becomes a sickness that takes over a persons mind and soul.

venge , jamie , sawdy , Thank you all for your input. While personally I wish for a pre-trib rapture event, and was once sold out on it because I was taught as such today I am not so sure. I do see many reasons for this viewpoint as Gary has spelled out. I have an "egg in that basket", yet not the whole dozen. While I want to know, it is not essential to whom I am looking for and to. However He has planned it I must accept and am fine with it. Venge - a little confused by your last post, can you clarify if you are saying (i think you said this someplace before) that the dead rise after the 1000 year reign? EDIT - Venge, I think Jamie is male, not female I think both of us have said it because Revelation states so here: 4And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection. 6Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.
I would also like to breakdown the very clear order of events given here before the first resurrection for anyone who would like to ponder on: 1. The books are opened for judgement for those who sit on the thrones (Kings/rulers of the earth?) and the souls of those who had been beheaded and killed for Christ and also those who did not accept the mark of the beast are part of the first resurrection. You are blessed if you are part of the first resurrection and reign with Christ for a thousand years. 2. The REST OF THE DEAD (those not part of the first resurrection) do not come to life until after the first thousand years after the first resurrection. Then a second resurrection happens and Satan is also released.

You're looking good Venge. Ear-ring? Nose-ring? How about a few tattoos? I have often told my son (22) that I want to put a long brass rod from his earlobe up through the top of his ear. Then I could grab onto it from time to time just for the fun of it. I also want to take a dog leash and clip it onto someones nose-ring and lead them around for a few minutes. Then perhaps a quick yank. Someday? You and Natalie are cruel lol I had an earring when I was young. It was a mistake. No tattoos on me. I’m made in the image of God. I want to keep his temple Holy however I can. I had that stage when I was young. Friends called me Axel Rose if you know who that is. That isn’t me anymore and I’m thankful lol Axel Rose!!! !!!!! 🤣😂 Welcome to the jungle LOL!!

1Ah, the proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim,
and the fading flower of its glorious beauty,
which is on the head of the rich valley of those overcome with wine!
2Behold, the Lord has one who is mighty and strong;
like a storm of hail, a destroying tempest,
like a storm of mighty, overflowing waters,
he casts down to the earth with his hand.
3The proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim
will be trodden underfoot;
4and the fading flower of its glorious beauty,
which is on the head of the rich valley,
will be like a first-ripe fig before the summer:
when someone sees it, he swallows it
as soon as it is in his hand.
5In that day the LORD of hosts will be a crown of glory, and a diadem of beauty, to the remnant of his people,
6and a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment,
and strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.
7These also reel with wine
and stagger with strong drink;
the priest and the prophet reel with strong drink,
they are swallowed by wine,
they stagger with strong drink,
they reel in vision,
they stumble in giving judgment.
8For all tables are full of filthy vomit,
with no space left.
9“To whom will he teach knowledge,
and to whom will he explain the message?
Those who are weaned from the milk,
those taken from the breast?
10For it is precept upon precept, precept upon precept,
line upon line, line upon line,
here a little, there a little.”
11For by people of strange lips
and with a foreign tongue
the LORD will speak to this people,
12to whom he has said,
“This is rest; <<<<<<<<<< "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." give rest to the weary;
and this is repose”;
yet they would not hear. ^^^^^^^This in prophesying the above statement that was made from Jesus to the Jews. Why is this referring to line upon line? Because that is all the Jews cared about, their knowledge and understanding of scriptures above everyone else. We see however that this is their doom at the end of verse 13. Sure they knew the WORDS, but they were not letting God lead them in understanding. They relied on themselves, their works, and on the law more than the Lord. 13And the word of the LORD will be to them
precept upon precept, precept upon precept,
line upon line, line upon line,
here a little, there a little,
that they may go, and fall backward,
and be broken, and snared, and taken.
14Therefore hear the word of the LORD, you scoffers,
who rule this people in Jerusalem!
15Because you have said, “We have made a covenant with death,
and with Sheol we have an agreement, ^^^^^^Over and over again in the NT, the Law is called the covenant with death. That is what this is referring to that no one can complete and fulfill the law. That was its purpose, to prove this. Since the law has to be perfectly fulfilled for complete atonement of sin, and no one can do that, it is a covenant of death. The only one who could do this was Jesus. Sheol is the grave. It was a covenant that lead to death and being placed in Sheol (grave).
when the overwhelming whip passes through
it will not come to us,
for we have made lies our refuge,
and in falsehood we have taken shelter”; <<<<<This is talking about the Jews (or possibly anyone who believes in their own works above salvation by God) being stubborn and continuing to follow the law and their pride in themselves and thinking they will not be harmed because they knew Gods special law and how to follow it. They placed themselves above everyone else. They believed in themselves more than anything. The scourge or overwhelming whip as translated in the ESV is talking about Rome and when Rome finally destroys them and the temple. 16therefore thus says the Lord GOD,
“Behold, I am the one who has laid as a foundation in Zion, <<<<Since no one can fulfill the law, and pride is our doom, He came incarnate as Jesus. His sacrifice annulled the Law, and His resurrection destroyed the agreement with Sheol (grave). a stone, a tested stone,
a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation:
‘Whoever believes will not be in haste.’
17And I will make justice the line,
and righteousness the plumb line;
and hail will sweep away the refuge of lies,
and waters will overwhelm the shelter.”
18Then your covenant with death will be annulled,
and your agreement with Sheol will not stand;
when the overwhelming scourge passes through,
you will be beaten down by it.
19As often as it passes through it will take you;
for morning by morning it will pass through,
by day and by night;
and it will be sheer terror to understand the message.
20For the bed is too short to stretch oneself on,
and the covering too narrow to wrap oneself in.
21For the LORD will rise up as on Mount Perazim;
as in the Valley of Gibeon he will be roused;
to do his deed—strange is his deed!
and to work his work—alien is his work!
22Now therefore do not scoff,
lest your bonds be made strong;
for I have heard a decree of destruction
from the Lord GOD of hosts against the whole land.
23Give ear, and hear my voice;
give attention, and hear my speech.
24Does he who plows for sowing plow continually?
Does he continually open and harrow his ground?
25When he has leveled its surface,
does he not scatter dill, sow cumin,
and put in wheat in rows
and barley in its proper place,
and emmere as the border?
26For he is rightly instructed;
his God teaches him. ^^^^^^^ This section here is talking about everything happens the way it is supposed to happen according to Gods plan and will. God is the one who stirs things up, then mends and tends it, and finally plants the seeds that will bring in new life.
27Dill is not threshed with a threshing sledge,
nor is a cart wheel rolled over cumin,
but dill is beaten out with a stick,
and cumin with a rod.
28Does one crush grain for bread?
No, he does not thresh it forever;
when he drives his cart wheel over it
with his horses, he does not crush it.
29This also comes from the LORD of hosts;
he is wonderful in counsel
and excellent in wisdom.

venge Your avatars kill me ;-D 🤣😂🙃 Get yourself some coffee with a couple shots of espresso thrown in their for good measure ☕️ Top it off with some chocolate covered espresso beans and you should be ready to run a marathon. Ok back to the thread topic lol... Lol well, my burn is about gone. I should lighten my coloring. My coworker has those coffee beans you chew on but they don’t work on me. I do love espresso though!!! My church has coffee for Sunday school hours. I grab some of that and mix it with hot chocolate mix for sugar caffeine fix. My blood is part coffee lol 🤪😁😅😀☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️ Oh those beans work. You just have to eat enough. Like when you accidentally eat over 20 of them while reading and are just munching along and then are up past 3 in the morning from all the caffeine lol 🤓😜 oops.

The things that follow you on the internet....
.....Post from almost 2 years ago. Wait, 2 years!!!!??!!!!
Just to clarify, I do not hold traditional views of the rapture in the sense of a pre, post, mid or whatever time period of "trib" ideology. What I do believe is God is capable of anything and in control of everything. I do not believe there will be a "trigger" or particular event that makes anything happen. God does what he does and directs us to glorify Him. It is always for his glory, not ours. At the time I started this thread I was very new in my walk with the Lord and Him getting my attention and was seeking and researching many avenues of theology and similar. It has done me much good and given me so much peace to simply seek His face rather than trying to figure out His next move or when there is a time to "escape" by a rapture while the rest of the world boils and burns. I just simply do not see things that way and try to steer clear of popular end times teachings and the like and instead research the original languages and style.

So much could be said and unpacked here. I'll just start with a few small points:
1. The Messiah is cut off after the first 69 periods of seven (v. 26), not in the middle of the 70th period of seven (v. 27). A literal reading of Daniel 9:24–26 presents what I would consider to be an insurmountable problem with the no gap theory (and also the theory that Jesus is the 'he' of v. 27) if we take these Scriptures at face value.
2. The Messiah who is cut off "but not for Himself" is clearly Jesus (no Christians that I am aware of would argue otherwise). However, He is mentioned in v. 26a. It's later in the verse, that "the prince" whose people destroy the city and the holy [place] shows up, thus per rules of most recent mention, it is far more likely that the antecedent of 'he' in v. 27 is "the prince" in v. 26. This, among other contextual reasons, is why there is very little scholarship defending the view that Jesus is the 'he' in v. 27. Even many preterists and historicists differentiate between the Messiah and prince in v. 26.
Furthermore, whoever this "prince" is, his people destroy Jerusalem and the holy [place]. Whether this refers to the people of the Roman nation in general (Roman ancestry view) or the more recent views presented by Joel Richardson and Walid Shoebat (Syrian and Turkish conscripts), there is no historical or biblical basis whatsoever to say these people are the Jews. Thus the prince in v. 27 is not Jesus.
3. Jesus never made a seven year covenant. This has always been the elephant in the room to me when the suggestion is that the 'he' of v. 27 is Jesus. Suggesting he did, would be pure assumption and potentially worse. The covenant in His blood is everlasting.
4. Jesus didn't put an end to sacrifices at His death. Another elephant in the room. The continual sacrifices continued on for another ~37 years. Now someone might respond that He put an end to the need for sacrifices, but there are two major problems with that view: first, v. 27 plainly says this "prince" interrupts/ceases/ends sacrifices, not that he merely ended the pretext for them. Second, Hebrews 10 tells us quite plainly that the ancient sacrifices could never take away sins, even before Christ's atoning sacrifice (hence Jesus the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world).
^^^^^^^ Ummm yes he did put an end to sacrificing. This word for end here is not something that is stopped or ended by a means of force or intimidation. The word and the way is is used here is an end or ceasing by an act that completed or perfected and resulted in its end. In other words it was done so well and perfect, nothing can do it better so it is ceased and at its end. Like trying to perfect one of Beethovens symphonies. Can’t be done and when he died, it out an end to anymore symphonies being written by him. This isn’t an elephant in the room, but a purposefully difficult passage. Closely studying the original language and how the words are used reveals a lot.
Also if Hebrews says the sacrifices could never take away sin (I understand we know this now) than why would it matter if they are supposedly stopped at some future date? The only people who would care is the nation of Israel and even now they are only doing sacrifices a couple times a year. They have not been able to do them for thousands of years up until just a few years ago. The rest of the world would not care if someone came in and took away their ability to sacrifice. If anything it would make a whole heap load of animal activists very happy There is only one being that perfected and completed the sacrifices. He was the final and perfect unblemished lamb 💓
5. There is nothing unscriptural about a gap that I'm aware of, in fact there are several examples of prophetic gaps including Isaiah 61:2, which actually occurs mid-verse. In Daniel 9 the text itself distinguishes between a first period of 49 years, a second period of 434, and a final period of 7.
6. Finally, the purpose of the prophecy is explicitly given (v. 24) for Daniel's people (the Jews) and his city (Jerusalem). At the completion of the 70th week: 1. the people and city will have finished transgression, 2. ended sin, 3. made reconciliation for iniquity, 4. brought in everlasting/continual righteousness, 5. sealed up vision and prophecy, and 6. anointed the Most Holy. None of these things have yet happened for the people or the city, thus the 70th week has not yet transpired.
Bolstering this point and going back to Isaiah 61:2, based on Luke 4:19 we see Jesus Himself bisecting Isaiah 61:2 by... [drum roll]... the current 2,000 year period of time we're living in that precedes the Day of the LORD.
Acts 15:14–18 provides the basis for this gap. God would first take "out of" the Gentiles a people for Himself... and only after that happens would the prophecy be fulfilled of Israel and Jerusalem's complete restoration. The entire chapter of Romans 11 unpacks this: Israel has been temporarily hardened until the full number (or some would say "fullness") of the Gentiles comes in.
